I'm DEFINITELY showing already. I've lost 10 lbs almost from Hyper emesis, and usually at the weight 202, I actually look quite slim. (Or as slim as someone like me can look)

This was me a week ago at 7w:

Its even worse now. I'm like, embarrassed to take pictures. Someone today asked me if I had a: TWINS in there (NO !) or b: assumed i was like 20 weeks along. (WTF?!?!?!) No, i'm just fat and a little bit pregnant, thanks for asking.

Everyone has such pretty bellies!  We've decided to stick to the even weeks, so I'll have another shot on Monday, at 6 weeks.  I don't look pregnant though, just fat.  It was the same last time -  I just get rolls, not a pretty little round baby belly.

Lol! Thanks, I'm fairly large chested and still nursing. After my daughter (first child) was born I was a 32F! I'm MUCH smaller than I was...

I'm so jealous of all these cute tummies! Mine just feels all flubbery, fat, and generally bloated and so uncute.

truedat.gif Like 100% this. I'm just fat, no baby bulge.

OOOOH Willovia I found that on pinterst and am planning on doing it too!!!!!

And on the Diastasis I think you can do some of the ab exercises while you are pregnant.  Having a strong core will help you have a better pregnancy!  I have it a little and a small hernia because of the seperation.  So while I still can I do lots of planks, and pilates style ab stuff (cause you pull your belly button in towards your spine) and that has helped with mine so far....

I think you are supposed to be careful with pilates during pregnancy though. I am almost certain that I have read that it's not safe to do the hundreds during pregnancy, for example. I will look for resources.

Cecillia's mom thanks, I would like to read anything.  So far I only do a couple moves and downloaded a pilates prenatal dvd.

I would think that anything that is specifically prenatal would have exercises that are modified to be safe for pregnancy, so I wouldn't worry so much about that. I would only worry about doing something like a harcore Pilates class that's not made for pregnant women, for example.

Midatreammamma or ceceliasm, would either of you be interested in cosponsoring a plus size pregnancy group with me? Provided that even describes you, don't mean to assume. Think it would be nice to do as a social group so it could be more permanent
post #59 of 670

Don't worry, no offense taken! I'm actually not plus sized-- I generally hover between size 10-12. It's just that I am only 5 feet tall, so even one or two pounds shows up really quickly. It's nice in reverse, since weight loss shows quickly too, but not so nice in the gaining direction!

I would be interested in a plus sized pregnancy group, but only if it's Health At Every Size friendly/fat positive. Not that we can't struggle with body image, etc (especially with all the changes going on) but I want to celebrate my big belly, not think of it as shameful or unhealthy.
