Beginning CBE Courses through CBI

Thread Starter

I have been a teacher for about 4 years now, and I recently resigned so that I could be home with my babies (3, 5 and under).  Two of my three children were born at home!

I also decided to go ahead and pursue becoming a childbirth educator.  I am going to Childbirth International, and so far, I really like it!  Anyone else going through CBI?  Any thoughts/advice/comments?  I would love to get to know other women going through CBI!  I just received my books in the mail a few days ago and just started reading.

I also began a blog (well, I have blogged for about 5 years, but this is a new, more focused one!) that covers many things, including natural pregnancy and birth.

Check it out:

This Crazy, Messy Life

Hope to get to know some of you!

Hi Courtney! I just started with CBI this past week. So far so good.

Nice to "meet" you :)

I am likely going to do doula & breastfeeding certs thru CBI, starting late summer or early fall. Right now, I'm signing up for PP doula & CBE courses through BAI. Hi!

Ah, nevermind - I am not going through BAI after all. I cannot attend any births at this time in my life (no childcare besides my husband, so I can't do anything "on-call"), so I will be going through CBI. It costs more (I was approved for a BAI scholarship, so was looking forward to saving a lot of money), and will likely take longer, but at least it is less to keep track of...doing it all through one program. How are you doing? It looks like it's been a while since your original post. Are you CBE-ing yet?
