Cravings - Page 3

I also am craving fried things like fried okra, crispy french fries, chips, and tots.  Why do they have to taste so good?! And they help the all day sickness.  Which doesn't make any sense to me.  It is probably a good thing I live so far away from the stores and restaurants.  Not feeling sweets at all either.  I am eating pretty good overall and pretty well balanced for the most part but it is taking a lot of willpower and self control.

I just want carbs, carbs, carbs, carbs.

C's Mama - Yep, it's been Bagel City for me for the past few days.  I'm trying to cut back though, since I've already gained a few pounds and don't have the m/s restricting my caloric intake.  Sigh.  Man, I love me some bagels.

I packed chili for lunch today and ate about 4 bites and couldn't eat any more.  Ugh.  I never had aversions like this with my first pregnancy.  I'm hungry all the time, but nothing sounds good, except oranges and eggs for some reason.  I think I'll make eggs for dinner.  I have no idea why they sound good.  And pop I used to have to have a can of pop every day at lunch, now it just sounds gross. I'm glad for that aversion.  I've wanted to get away from drinking pop for a long time now.

My cravings and aversions seem to change on a daily basis. I am craving a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables and not really wanting sweet stuff, which is totally weird. I'm also craving showers and baths. My hips hurt, so it's great to be in the water.

My daughter and I are going through a ton of clementines lately, and our friend with the chickens can't keep up with our egg consumption!

I'm not so much craving certain foods right now as much as just trying to think of whatever I can stomach that I think will help me to stop feeling like I am about to BARF RIGHT NOW. :)

What I wish I had on constant demand:

Cottage Cheese and Boca Burgers

Unfortunately, I can not get those things here ;( Boo!!!!

A huge cold bowl of Cottage Cheese with a fresh cut cantaloupe sounds so darn good right now.

I have no sweet cravings at all.  I've actually forced myself to eat a couple of Lindt truffles over the holiday because I usually love them so much.

We eat such a carby-veggie based diet here and I've had zippo time to cook since I'm always sick... so I'm really struggling to keep my protein intake up.  Usually we make/eat piles of beans with rice/potatoes.  I'm eating a few eggs... but mostly for snacks... I just am really missing cottage cheese, darn it!

I'm also craving SLEEP!  :)

Hamburgers. Big, juicy, meaty hamburgers. Also, potato chips. Anything salty, really.

And I am really, really thirsty, too! Even without eating anything salty.

Does any one else feel like their stomach cannot hold as much food as before getting pregnant?  I do and it's rather frustrating!  I don't remember this happening so early in the pregnancy before.  I get SO hungry only to find I can barely get down a little bit before feeling absolutely stuffed.  This forces me to focus on food/eating a lot more of the time than I'd prefer -- guess I'll just have to be darn good at packing snacks in my car and purse at all times!

I feel like that all the time.  I just had a bowl of cereal and I'm so full it is uncomfortable.  It is horrible. I feel like the boy from the Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle story who starts eating from tiny little dishes.

I'm craving a big steak. Broiled in the oven with soy sauce and black pepper. And a soggy tuna sandwich :)

Can't get them kosher locally :(

Otherwise most food is not terribly appetizing, and I have that yucky "too much saliva and it tastes too strong"  feeling. This whole hungry feeling is making me a very crabby person to be around!

I fulfilled my fried craving yesterday.  Tempura and sushi with fried fish inside of the roll.  Didn't have much of a choice, I couldn't get raw so getting fried makes it all better right? redface.gif

Cravings? You name it I've had it. My first preggo craving, the past 4 times and again now, is hot cheetos. I've craved and so far eaten, only to not want to EVER look upon it again, cheese cake, fried shrimp, fried fish, beans and rice, panda express, spicy chicken pizza, other flavors of pizza, blueberry bagels, top ramen noodles, mc donalds big mac, mc donalds chicken sandwhich with tomato and lettuce, salads (LOT OF THEM), burritos with tomato and sour cream (was able to eat that for a few days and then no more), Eggs over medium (though, I can't even think of them at ALL now)...

I also can't stand garlic AT ALL while preggo. '

The only thing I've been able to eat consistently and it even helps with the nausea a bit is green apples, mmm, still good : )  I also went out and bought TONs of fruit which I usually refrain from due to the cost of it, but I just couldn't help it, the kids however are enjoying the benefits of the mass amount of fruit we have available right now : )  Oh except for banannas, EEEEEEEEWWWWWW!

For those feeling way over stuffed, I was too and took some pulsatilla in 30c and it cleared it up, I actually used it about 3 times and the overly full feeling has been gone since, I also don't feel quite as bloated as I did.

Oh and for me, meat in general is YUCK! With my sond I wanted steak sooo bad, with my girls, meat and bread was just horrible as it is now.... thinkin this is another little girl because of it... but I'm waiting since hubby is really hoping for a boy as is his family, in fact they refused to even here our name choice for a girl, cause they want us to think "boy thoughts" only.

lemons!

Right now my plan/fantasy is slicing them very thing, removing all the rind/seeds and eating them with thinly sliced cucumber and salt.

I've been on a bagel kick, and citrus.   I have been so acidic and the two week reprieve I got from feeling queasy is now officially gone.  I wake up feeling so awful and I have to eat every two hours to not feel like I'm going to throw up.  If I eat too much, then I feel like I'm going to throw up.  Can't wait til this passes.

Cravings lately are for the same stuff, plus fresh fruit salads.  Each bite is better than the next.  Can't get enough.

One of the ways I knew I was pregnant was cravings! Normally I eat really well and can skip lunch if I forget to bring something, getting by on the dried fruit and nuts at my desk, but right after I conceived I started wanting spicy ethnic food (thai, chinese, indian, etc) for lunch and could.not.stop. until I got it!  I wanted pizza the other night and went out in the cold to get it (although I felt really sick after I ate it) and

Right now I'm really craving a sandwich-- lots of mustard/mayo, lettuce, cheese and lots of peppers (fresh, banana & pickled jalapenos, my fave!).  YUM. I had one for lunch yesterday and really wish I had time to go out and get another one today!!  I may have to sneak out.... Oh, and that cold OJ is also sounding perfect.  Thankfully I'm not craving sweets like I normally do, but I did eat a few cupcakes the other night at a party and really wished I hadn't...

I have been so so so hungry lately!  Is it all in my head? I mean, I'm only 6 weeks along, the baby is the size of a lentil, it's not as if I'm eating for two!

I know what you mean! I craved pizza so bad the other night and almost made myself sick on it.  I also craved fried chicken yesterday, which I normally would NEVER eat, and now when I think of it I want to throw up!
