PP DTD, Yikes!

Yes, I am only 5 days PP, but hubby is VERY interested in me. I made the mistake of flashing him before my shower two days ago to show him the tummy and boob changes and he has been very touchy feely ever since... Obviously, I have no interest in sex, but he wants to kiss, hug, rub up against me, play with boobies, etc.... oh boy!

Anyone else "dealing" with this yet?

I'm sure this thread will get lots of action in the coming months, LOL. Its just too stinkin' soon for me!

DH has been very interested as well, especially since my milk came in. I'm very much emotionally ready, but I'm not even 2 weeks PP so I know my body probably isn't ready, plus I still have some lochia. I had my placenta encapsulated and the pills are supposed to help reduce lochia much faster, plus I'm tandem nursing and that seems to have made a big difference. I figure once I'm 100% done bleeding, we might give dtd a try. Even though it's frustrating for both of us right now, I'm so glad that we're on the same page. After DD was born, I just wasn't interested at all and we struggled with that part of our relationship for a very long time. I was just starting to be more interested when we started TTC and we were definitely more active during this pregnancy than with my previous one. The only reason it tapered off at all was because I was just so exhausted at the end and finding a comfortable position that worked for both of us was really difficult. I'm looking forward to not having those limitations anymore.

I'm up for it but I'm not sure my belly could handle an orgasm yet...not a week after a c-section!

I've lasted 2 weeks, 1 week, 2 weeks before sex. I just use condoms to help protect against possible infection if I'm still bleeding. We'll see about this time, who knows!

That seems incredibly early to me!!!  yikes.gif  Are you ladies healing that quickly?

We usually wait 5-6 weeks, but last time around it was 4 weeks.  I didn't have any tearing during my last birth, and I felt ready earlier.  I can't enjoy myself if there is any pain.  DP always waits for me to be ready and make the first move, because I'm the one who risks pain -- also he has a tendency to wait for me to make the first move, anywayrolleyes.gif.

I should have said that I have never torn, never been in horrid pain "down there"

Notes about how I think the above happens:

dh always stretches me pre-birth (hands and EPO) to ensure that I can stretch without tearing. He'll declare "yup, head can fit through there!" I've never torn and have always pushed once for head and once for the body! I think it has everything to do with the stretching. The baby's head isn't having to work it's way slowly as the vaginal canal and opening stretches for it. And it has done me no long term damage - I am always declared "as tight as ever" (TMI perhaps, but I know at least a few people were wondering when they read this!)

My god, my DH! We're only 5 days PP, and we've had two serious make-out sessions so far. Dont know how, but I guess the massive milk boobies make up for the insane whole body edema (from the labor and surgery), the constantly weepy eyes, the PP belly, and me constantly glancing longingly at baby-- he hasn't been this interested in me in two years! Aren't men ridiculous? As soon as that baby comes out, all they can't think if is putting another in there!

I'm really not interested, but I know when the time comes, I'll enjoy myself. wink1.gif but holy crap, slow down man!

Dude, I hear you! Been full on DTD since about 12 days PP. Hubby comes onto me several times a day. I give in about every other day. No pain, though! ;)

Ooooh I'm jealous. I had 2nd degree tearing, stitches and hemhhroids, as well as still dealing with SPD pain... combine that with a baby that never sleeps out of arms and... sheeeesh.  DH is the same as both of yours, he's been ready to go since about 3 days pp... me... I'm insanely in love with him everyday, and I find it sexy and heck to watch him with DD... but the idea of having the energy to do anything sexual, let alone the nerve to dtd... not happening quite yet. I'm nervous about dtd for the first time. I feel like the stitches were too tight, so it's going to be an experience.

I want it!  7 days pp my lady parts are no where near ready still sore i tore a little bit no stitches though.  dp and i just made a deal i can get ember the PKU test and prick his heel with a needle but i also have to give dp 2 bjs back to back and then five on demand possibly in public, whenever he wants them.  (tmi)  haha its pretty sexy

Anyone know about DTD and c-sects? I have a bit of cervical tenderness from the laboring (had the beginnings of a tear there), that's actually quite cleared up now. I'm a bit worried about damaging the uterine incision so I can't have more babies some day. But if it doesn't hurt, all is well, right?

12 days pp Amanda?? I would have been happy to sit down flat at that point ;).  There is no way we are dtd until I'm at least 3 months pp.  I had another third degree tear and although I'm five weeks pp, I still have stitches and am no where close to being healed.  I'm pretty achey still too.  I am happy because my repair job looks way better than last time. It is healing faster too. but still slow.

Yeah... I was still shimmying on and off the bed and couch at that point. Second degree tear, (and I've never had stitches for anything before, what a weird experience!) and mine is completely 'healed' but I'm still scared to put any 'pressure' on it. lol. I think we'll wait a bit longer.

Girls, I know, it seems totally CRAZY! I was not like this with ANY of our other children, scared of the pain, couldn't put baby down, etc. This time has been different.

Easier baby, hubby just home after 5 months of being out of town, no pain during first DTD session, etc... ;)

Ok...I usually wait like 2-3mos too...SOOOOO scared ofthe pain - and there usually is even then for a little while...but, this time I swear I am ready - I am nervous about pain, but, I just want it so bad. I think too my DH has been working out and I'm looking better than I did pre-baby #3 and I am just feeling like we are sexy and need to make some love! I don't know...its wierd!!! I wish he would hurry up and get home from work though because I will probably be way too tired by the time he gets back! Booo. Oh I'm 4 weeks PP today.
