All the same, I think I'll be really disappointed if it's a girl.  Almost makes me want to get an ultrasound, so I can get used to the idea if it is.

I have no idea!  I have one of each now and love them both to pieces.  When I was pregnant with my daughter (my second), I wondered how I was ever going to love another child as much as I loved my son, my first child.  The fact is, she was born and it was love at first sight.  It's really as if our hearts just grow as parents to love and accept our children, regardless of sex, regardless of talents, personality, etc.  That's been my experience anyway - and I was so delighted, because I was uncertain.  And the beautiful thing is that siblings then have each other... so yes, my attention is more split with two kids (and will be even more split with three) - but they love playing with each other and my oldest is growing into quite a sweet big brother.

So... I'm in the 'clueless' camp... I've never had decent intuition about gender!  :)

I really would love to have either, we have two boys and a girl so we are set for clothes and accessories.

But I really feel this one is a girl.
Of course I may change my mind!
My first two pregnancies were so similar, and we did an u/s and found out they were boys. My third pregnancy was so different, I carried completely different, my moods were different, it was crazy and we didn't find out ahead of time. I did not have my heart set on having a girl (contrary to popular belief after you've had two boys) but I would have been completely shocked if she wasn't a girl smile.gif

For what its worth, I thought I'd have no idea what to do with a boy, although I'm a tomboy type myself. But they are just awesome! And then our girl is just something else! She is only 19mo old but can be so girly, but her favorite toys are monster trucks and tractors. And she loves playing at the barn with the livestock and getting totally dirty...while wearing ribbon clips in her hair smile.gif. She has just brought such sunshine into our lives! Dh and I sometimes wonder about her because she is just so happy and reasonable and bright.
Add me to the no twins club! For my first and second the idea of twins was lovely. But although I am often referred to as supermom, I know what I can handle and twins would really stretch that smile.gif I was a twin myself, so its not impossible but its not something I specifically hope for!

I, too, am convinced we're having a girl. The thought of a boy doesn't even enter our minds. We have her name, we talk about her like she's here. DH has been having conversations with her for months before we conceived...(she's coming soon, I know it, he'd say). He doesn't want to find out the sex beforehand, but I told him we have to! We need some time to adjust if for some reason it turns out to be a boy. If we end up with a girl, there's a strong possibility that we would only have the one child. But I told him, if it's a boy, we're gonna have to try again!

yeahthat.gif My mom wanted a prissy girl and got the opposite. She was super disappointed.

You can take my off the blue list, btw.  This is definitely a girl.  Even my son confirms it, and he's psychic, so he'd know.

With Elsa I was something like 95% sure she was a girl.  J guessed the same.  This time, I don't know if I really feel like it's a girl, or if I just really want it to be.  I don't know if that can cloud the intuition or what.  I've never been the best baby guesser.  For people I know I'm right probably just about half the time.  J has guessed only four people I know so far but he was right for all of them, and they were all girls.  He says he doesn't have a clear feeling with this one so we don't know if it's because it's a boy and he only "feels" girls, or he's just not getting anything.

We didn't find out with Elsa because in the end we really didn't care one way or the other.  This time, I kind of do care and I'm waffling about whether I want to find out.  I don't want to know before, really, but I wonder if it is a boy maybe it would be better to have some time to get used to it.  But on the other hand I can't see myself being disappointed in the moment of birth.  Because then it would be my son, not just a picture on a screen, or an idea.

Plus the way J tells it, it was unbelievably exciting when he went into the waiting room after and everyone was just on pins and needles waiting to hear what we'd produced.

My daughters love to play in the mud and camp and hike and my oldest plays soccer and swims. No princesses in this house. They prefer riding bikes and kicking balls, but will dress up like a princess, a dragon, a chef, or a doctor if we play indoors. They like their toy cars just as much as their baby dolls :)

Wow Ceriserenee, how exciting! :)

I'm changing my guess to boy. I feel ridiculously good, other than weird food aversions and tired. Pretty much the same way I felt when pg with DS - with DD nausea was more of an issue.

I'm guessing girl.  I feel like every one in my family has girls. My twin is on her 4th girl, my brother had 3 girls and 1 boy, my mother had 1 boy and 4 girls, and my maternal biological grandmother had 3 boys and 7 girls. I went to a psychic a while back and she told me I came from a strong female line and she suspected I would have girls and very likely twins, and she didn't even know I was one!

Ceriserenee congratulations on twins!  They are so special!

FeralFox my family was super outdoorsy, hiking, camping, fishing, and my parents ended up with 1 boy and then 4 girls.  Every single one of us enjoyed doing all the outdoorsy things, and my twin sister and I always spent the majority of our time preferring to play out of doors than do anything in the house.  Even my "girlie" sister who loved Barbies, also liked hiking and camping and fishing.  I think it will be more what the child is exposed too than what sex they are that will determine what their interests are and what they are comfortable with.  My twin sister was tougher and more fearless than most of the boys we knew.  And all of us loved living on a farm and many of us will likely end up on one.  My twin is already urban homesteading. So I wouldn't worry too much.

I'll be surprised if it's a boy.  I feel like it's a girl.

Yeah those are major stereotypes.  If you don't raise a girl that way, she won't be that way.  I think most little girls naturally like being outdoors as much as boys.

My original guess was boy, but after a dream I had a few weeks ago I can't shake the baby girl feeling.

DH REALLY wants a little girl. DD (who doesn't know I am pregnant yet) talks all the time about how she wants a baby sister, NOT a baby brother.

AFM - I am really happy getting either. I loved having a baby girl, and dressing her up in all sorts of girly things, and I love having a little mama's boy, too. We have clothes and gear for either, so I don't have a strong preference.

but.... this pregnancy feels much more similar to my pregnancy with DS - cold feet, craving for protein, salty things, not so much nausea, etc. So, my guess is blue! babyboy.gif

I had a dream last night that they are a boy and a girl, so I am sticking with my guess...although with no morning sickness what-so-ever and no acne, facial problems...they could both be boys!

Thanks everyone for the congratulations! We are getting more excited every day. We had another U/S last week and they are looking great! They are both measuring exactly the same date, and both are to the date of my due date...so we are feeling so much better!
