What are you fellow crafty mommas making?

So far on my list I have:

Knit- 4 pairs of baby socks

        baby cardigan

        2 baby hats

        2 buntings

        4-5 wool diaper covers

Sew- Quilt

        Wash mitts

so far thats it. Knitting projects start after my christmas projects are finished.

I don't have a list yet.  I never managed to make to much for the other babies.  This time I'm being completely indecisive about what to make, plus we don't have a lot of money to buy yarn/supplies so I will be trying to come up with things I can make with what I already have in my stash. 

I'd like to make a blanket, some gowns, hats, onesies.  but I bet I won't get to even half of it.

I made two baby dresses already, but will wait to make more until we find out the gender for sure!  I will also make a quilt and receiving blankets.  I hadn't thought of knitting yet, but I have a sock loom, so I would like to make baby socks, too.  I don't think I will need to make more dipes, but if it is a girl, I will like to make pretty diaper covers.  and a lot of dresses, and a dolly, too.  I will also make a new diaper bag, and probably a lot of other things, too...but like I said, I am trying to hold off until we find out the gender.

I sewed diapers during my second pregnancy, but I want to use wool this time. I've been developing a wool soaker (diaper cover pattern) and hope to have small-large made before baby gets here. I will also knit some contoured diapers from organic cotton and make some raw silk stay dry layers. I just need to get my yarn ordered! I also need some more cloth wipes, so that is on my to-do list as well.

I'm so excited to make stuff for the baby. I've started making baby quilts for friends and family whenever they're expecting so I'm definitely going to make a quilt for our little one. I don't really know how to knit very well, but I can sew a bit so I'm going to try and make a bunch of fun stuff. I actually just picked up a book of patterns called Simple Sewing for Baby. It has a ton of great ideas for things like bibs, washcloths, toys, dresses, shirts, hats, you name it. I think I'm going to start with the quilt and then start on some spit cloths and washcloths and then see what else strikes my fancy. We're not going to find out the gender until the baby is actually in front of us, so I'll have to wait on the clothes except for some little tshirts and hats that could work for either gender.

No official list of what I want to make but also all projects will start after I am done making all the Christmas presents (over 50 in all).

Probably crochet some diaper covers, blanket, cocoon & hat set, some cardigans, etc.

I haven't started yet, but I want to make a bunch of diapers. I made some last time, but could use more.

The only for sure on my list is one of those "boob" hats.  I just have to have one for the next baby.

I want to make some new wet bags and possibly a few diapers too, even though we have plenty.  I bought the Diaper Making book from JoAnn's and everything looks awesome.    I will also make a receiving blanket. 

I also am going to make the birth announcements.

I need to find someone to make me one for this babe... they are too friggin cute. 

Also, I plan on making a few homemade onesies with sayings on them like "Born at Home" or "Geekling" or whatever to suit us.

What is a boob hat? I'm picturing this in my head and I'm pretty sure it's not what the hat actually is. haha

I'm wanting to make some homemade onesies, too. I think I might get some felt pieces and cut them into little shapes like clouds and animals and such and sew them on with a bit of stitching here and there to add faces or some extra design elements. I think I also might try and corral my friends into doing some fabric paint ones at the baby shower when we have it. I have quite a few friends that are artists since I work in an artsyish field so I think that could be kind of awesome.

I just really want to nurse my baby wearing that hat!  And I thought if I had twins and they were both nursing at the same time and wearing those hats that would be double the awesome.

is anybody else starting to make stuff yet?  How silly is it that I am making baby DRESSES when I don't even know if it's a girl yet!  This one made me really hope to have a little girl:

I'm gonna knit blue and green flowers to sew around the hat.  I also made the outside of a big diaper bag, in a print that I think is gender neutral.  I'm sewing the insides, and i'll show that off too when it's done.

I'm trying to finish some other projects I've had lying around half-done for a while before I start on the baby stuff, though I want to get started on that sort of thing so badly! I did make a stuffed bunny already, but that was partially because I made a couple of others of those for friends with babies for holiday gifts and figured I'd just go ahead and make one for us, too while I was at it since I was already making a few anyway. 

I'm going to start with a baby quilt first. I already know which design I want to use, I just have to go to the fabric store and pick out the fabric. I always use minky fabric for the undersides of my baby quilts since it's so soft. I wish I had a quilt made out of that stuff! haha

I don't want to put to much on my plate because I never finish anything I start.  At least baby things are generally smallish.  

It never occurred to me to make a onesie, but I would like to attempt it.  I also like the idea of making a diaper bag... Does anyone have a good pattern recommendation for either?

That is so stinking cute! I cannot wait to see the hat when you are done. What is your pattern for knit flowers? All I can find are crochet ones, and I don't know how to do that yet.

That is where I am too. I have so many projects half done that need to get finished. First I need to go through all my craft stuff so I can find everything!

Thanks, tripleseven; if i wind up with a boy and you are having a girl, i'll send it to you.  or someone else from this ddc if we both get boys; but like i said, i am now really hoping to have a girl!

Lactomom, I knit on looms.  My plan for the flowers is to knit like long eyecords, and then use the flower loom.  The little flower loom by Provocraft is really inexpensive and it's pretty neat, although unlike the other looms, it really doesn't qualify as knitting.  I don't really like the look of the flowers it does using just yarn, though; they are awfully skimpy and floppy.  So I'm thinking the eyecord will make them more substantial, especially if the eyecord is felted first.  What I do like doing with the flower loom is making them from thin satin ribbon; I have made a ton of these and I can totally see them as barrettes and on headbands and ponytails, etc.  You could even use them as button closures.

I finished my diaper bag.  I just posted the picture in the 52 project challenge thread, but remembered I promised to post it here.  That other picture I already posted is of the prettier side; It's in my album, if you want to see it you could click my user name to see the album.  This is the back side that I don't like as much!  Like I said, I think it's gender neutral?  It has 15 pockets, from credit card sized to a full size interior waterproof zip pocket.
