To the ladies who participated in the bead exchange - Page 2

Oh no, I'm sorry about that!  I had that problem with several of those beads, they kept coming detached from the string... I've checked the area where I worked and I didn't see a spare bead, but I'll double-check and let you know.  In the meantime, if anyone got two of the sparkling round beads by mistake (the ones that AfricanQueen sent), then one belongs to MoonSnail!

Oh, no!  I was hoping that my beads strung on my note would make it *easier* for you, Pilar.  I'm sorry about that.

I gave my extras to my daughter and she has already lost them in her room.  I'll see if I can track one down to send directly.

It's okay.... Thanks for checking, guys!

Of course, I would love to have a bead from each of you... if one of you finds it or an extra, awesome....

but, it isn't a huge deal if it doesn't turn up.  I don't want anyone to go through a lot of extra hassle.

Pilar, you have put in a ton of work on this already and Angela, I am equally happy to have your sweet message!

Thanks again, everyone..... I teared up a bit when I read everyone's beautiful words of inspiration!  love.gif

If the pesky get-away bead shows up, let me know!

I had my daughter track down a bead!  It was remarkably easier than I thought considering the girl just dumps everything together and then wonders why she can never find anything.

Please PM me your address and I'll mail it right away. :)

I got my beads yesterday and was so warmed by all the thoughts and descriptions! Thank you!

Oh Angela, thank you so much for your help!!  I couldn't find the lost bead anywhere, and I looked all over my crafts area... You're a life-saver!!  :)  I really loved how you arranged the beads you sent with the gold string and card, but I think the beads cut into the strings and made a few of them fall off.  Well, hopefully this is the only one that went rogue.  ;)

Thanks again, Angela.... Thanks for looking, Pilar.   All is well and I am excited to have a complete set to string!!

Ok so I think I might be missing my own bead.  I did get a flat amber one but not th oval one that I thought I had sent.  Thank you for doing this I can't wait to wear these during labor!

Sarah, can you PM or e-mail me your address and I'll send out your bead.  Ah, the irony. :)

i was waiting till after the holidays to string mine together, and the kids just helped me put a bracelet together with all of our beads.  ladies, it's so lovely, and i'm so grateful to have this precious gift from each of you!  thanks again to everyone- each bead is so very special!

i agree with everyone - the beads are amazing and all the notes so special and full of strength from each of you.  :)  dp was very touched (i organized the whole thing and while i told her about it in passing i'm not sure she really understood until the beads arrived!!) and also sends along her thanks to everyone who participated.

we will be 40 weeks tomorrow.  baby girl is as snug as a bug in a rug although we can tell now that she has trouble getting comfortable with all the wriggling and alien action going on.  dp now has stretch marks on her stretch marks and it seems a couple of new ones pop up every day now!!  we started on epo today and she'll have acupuncture on saturday.  :)

I finally (!) strung my beads today and wanted to share a picture of the completed bracelet, because I love it so much.  Reading through everyone's notes again just filled me with such warmth and good feeling for you all.  Congratulations to everyone who's had their babies already and good luck again to those of us that're left!

Jan 2012 birth bead exchange

Love it!  I keep meaning to take a picture of mine to post but I keep forgetting.  With all the beautiful beads it's too big on my wrist and just falls right off so I think it will be an anklet during labor.  I saved all the notes to put in the little guy's baby book.

I haven't strung mine (I'm still at 3 weeks and counting so I have time) because I want to take individual pictures to remember which bead goes with which woman).  I'll get there!

JuneBoyMum - what about making it a nursing necklace?  That's what I did with my son's set and it worked perfectly.
