Baby led weaning baby likes carbs, meat, fruit, NOT veg!

Hi mamas,

Looking for tips or reassurance: my 11month DD still gets most of her calories from breastmilk, and feeds throughout the day (and night). We sit down for meals 3 or 4 times a day, with maybe a snack in there too. I try to give all sorts of foods, and usually the first time with a food she eats it, but then after that, if it is a veg, and sometimes a fruit, she is totally uninterested. She eats most bread, meat, chicken, fruit, pasta, and rice in that order. The most success I have had with vegetables has been when they were in a soup cooked with homemade chicken stock.

I am not really worried about her getting nutrients, because she breastfeeds so much, but I sort of felt like as a baby led weaning baby, she would be more open to all things, including vegetables. This feels like a "toddler diet", and I hoped to start out a bit more well rounded...

Any ideas?

Thanks!

What veg have you tried? My 10-month-old likes peas, cubes of cooked squash and sweet potato, wedges of avocado with some skin left on for gripping, quartered cherry tomatoes...

i would cut out the grains for awhile. i havent given my dd grains yet because they are so addictive! fruit, meat, eggs and veggies is all she eats and she loves it!
