Do y'all have names picked out yet? I'm the type that starts looking for names the second I find out I'm pg, so I already have a list of favorites. My DH, not so much. He would prefer to talk about it while I'm in labor.

My kids names all start with M. This was not on purpose. My name also starts with M, but my husbands name starts with R... so he feels left out. As such, we set out to find R names we liked.

After a LOT of looking we have settled on:

Rowan Dale

Rowan after actor Rowan Atkinson. AKA, Mr. Bean.

Dale after my father's middle name.

Riley Kathleen

Riley is a more common spelling of a very strong female character in a video game we both enjoy. She's not a well-known enough character for most people to ever make the connection that we got her name from a video game.

Kathleen is hubbys favorite aunt's first name and his favorite cousins middle name. I just think it's pretty. My mom and his mom already had their names used (similarly, both of my daughters have the same middle name but from two different sources lol so if this is a girl she will actually be the one with a different middle name)

My issue is coming up with a gender neutral nickname for the little one so we have something to call them until they are born since we do not plan on finding out sex until birth, when daddy gets to announce it to the world.

I love Rowan also. DH is convinced the baby will be Silas if it's a boy.  I'm not convinced yet. :)

We talk baby names way ahead of time, but haven't too much yet with this one.  I want some sort of common thread connecting all our children's names and I've settled on the "s" sound somewhere in the name.

Our tradition is to name our children after deceased family members. We have already covered those closest to us (DS is named after my brother & paternal grandfather, DD is named after my maternal grandfather and my husband's favorite grandmother). My mom is afraid this means someone will die before LO is born. But my mother-in-law's favorite uncle who was someone also close to DH died right after DD was born, so we are thinking of naming after him. We just use the initial sound which is S. Haven't decided for sure, yet.

We've started talking about it, but we are not finding ANYTHING!  I want to love the name just like I did with our two boys, but so far, nothing!

That said...nicknames for Jeremiah BESIDES Miah or Amiah or Jerry?  I love Jeremiah, but majorly dislike the nicknames!

We have first names picked for either gender, but not decided on middle names. I don't share the name until the birth.

My brother passed away in April. If this baby is a boy (which I'm positive he is) then we will name him Casey, after my brother.

aww, my brother is Kelly after our Uncle who died after I was born... At my grandmothers funeral, he took Uncle Kelly's place to put a rose on her coffin.

Do you have a middle name with it? JD, JR, JT... usually make good nicknames. may be more, that's all I can think of atm.

I'm pretty sure our babe is either Summer Ashlea or Skyler "Something".  Can't figure out a middle name for that...

But, with all these miscarriage in the group lately, I'm still trying not to get too "attached" until I hear a beartbeat...  :/

I knew a guy named Jeremiah who was nicknamed Jay.

We haven't started on names yet. Of course, I have a few in my head that I'd love to use, but not sure how my partner feels about them just yet. We've had two losses this year already, so I sort of feel like we should wait until the second trimester starts before starting on the name game. Right now I think it's a girl so I've been going over girl names to myself. My current favorite is Charlise.

I like the nickname Remy for Jeremiah =)

I am having a hard time thinking of names this time!

For boys I like:

Theodore

Francis

Phillip

It is so hard though!

I love the name Charlise!  We've considered Charlotte and calling her Charlie :)

This is why my son has his name.  It was the ONLY boy name we could agree on in the entire universe!!! lol

Yes! That is my idea, too. My partner and I both have now-deceased grandfathers named Charles/Charlie so it would be so wonderful to name the baby something that could use Charlie as a nickname. Plus, I think Charlie would be an adorable name for a girl or a boy.
