Mamas of boys

Dusty says he'll be fine and I'm sure he'll be fine but :P

At the same point in his life where my darling son has starting full hand twisting pinching, he's found his penis. Which is totally cool (well, if I get to it first to clean off the pee/poo) but someone please tell me that I don't have to worry about him pinching it off or doing damage. He grabs a nice handful of scrotum, too, though he doesn't seem as pleased with that.

I want him to have a fabulous relationship with his penis, not one that requires repair ;)

Thank you!

Ha ha!  He'll be fine!

Gabriel hasn't begun the penis fascination phase yet (I don't think that phase ever ends...), but his brother loves both his penis and his scrotum. It's bound to happen. Another vote that Charlie will be fine. :-)

I think that if he'd started it before the pinching started, I wouldn't have worried. Those little hands can really hurt, though! ;)

Good! It's a rare time that I think he'll hurt himself if left to do what he wants to do :) Thank you!

It might give him a little jolt, but he'll figure it out quickly and he won't be damaged.

WIll hasn't found his yet, but Jeb (4y) is certainly fascinated with his, and I am amazed at how rough he can be with that thing and it doesn't seem to hurt.  I think once again, nature is very Wise and knows not to make it too sensitive until they are ready to be more gentle with it :)

DS1 is all about his penis. He's very interested in his brother's penis, too. I have to explain that it belongs to his brother, that he can touch his own penis, etc.

The funniest penis story happened when the first boy was born into my family. My parents had 7 daughters and the first 2 grandchildren were girls. My baby sisters are MUCH younger (I think due to empty nest syndrome). During a diaper change, my baby sister who was about 4 mistook our nephew's penis for the cord stump. She said to our other sister in a reassuring tone, "It's okay, it'll fall off." My sister replied, "No, honey, he needs that!" LOL

Haha I'm sure he'll have a fabulous relationship with his penis as long as you let him have at it.  I've worked with lots of babies and haven't recalled any penis injury stories!

I let him have pantless time to air out which was really just penis pulling time. It got very red on the underside, but he didn't seem at all distressed so I just squirted it with milkt and diapered him when we were done :)
