Page loads several times all at once?

It's weird but not impossible to deal with.   In the past ...three days? I noticed that when I click and hold down the arrow-back (left) button of my browser, to navigate to previous pages, the page I'm on currently has been loaded a bunch of times.  For example, when I hold down the arrow here to make the drop-down history box appear, "New Thread in Questions and Suggestions" is loaded 14 times above "Questions and Suggestions".  It's like arrowing back through 14 pages even though I only moved ahead one page. 

Firefox is my browser.  I should try this on Chrome, see if the same thing happens.   This doesn't happen on any other  web site, just MDC.

Like I said, this isn't terribly important, just weird. 

By the way, don't know what the 'tag this thread' thing is about.  So I checked both boxes.
