What made you cry today?

Ugh, emotions!  I've definitely been more touchy - in a great mood and then totally irritable. Today I was at the gym and they had some morning show on.  They were talking about a Christmas light contest going on and started showing some of the contestant's houses.  I suddenly got teary!!  What the heck?!  Why is that even emotional??

Anyone else having these weird emotional moments?

I'm totally an emotional wreck. I hear some random song and I'm fighting back tears. The Beatles are the worst! Every damn Beatles song makes me want to cry. Also, when my son and I are dancing around the kitchen, it makes me start crying. I feel so silly. LOL.

You mean, other than the normal "Extreme Makeover Home Edition" crying?

I haven't outright cried persay, but I'm getting too emotionally engaged during movies and tv shows lately. Like, I can't suspend reality for the sake of a plot. I get really worked up and attached to the characters, to the point where I'm angry when they do something stupid. "Why is she DOING that??" Or "Why is that character getting INVOLVED?!?!" hopmad.gif  Like I have control over any of it? It's really silly, but I have noticed it quite a bit.

Practically anything that has to do with a baby makes me cry lately, even if it's good or heartwarming.

Last night I was watching a segment from the Today show that some pregnancy website had linked about an Australian mom who had twins, but whose boy was pronounced dead by the doctors. She placed him on her chest and he revived, although the doc didn't believe it. http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/38988444/ns/today-parenting_and_family/#.TuelsnqAPct

Anything? Everything? Happy and sad? I cried because I got an email from church that they don't have enough Christmas presents for kids over 8 for the assistance ministry we're a part of, so would we please donate gift cards. I'm just about crying again typing about it. But yeah, pretty much everything with even the mildest emotion attached to it makes me cry. I think I've pretty much been like that since I ovulated, though. orngtongue.gif

Haha!  I LOVE this.  So maddening to everyone around us too.  My dp just looks at me like "huh?"

Wow, that just about made me cry just reading it.

I'm a lot more teary eyed lately too. Nothing has made me cry today yet - but the day is still young. redface.gif

Great thread.  I cry a lot nowadays for all different reasons, most of them happy reasons, I guess my hormones are all over the place.

Saffrongirl I also just about cried because of what monkeyscience wrote, how sad is that, but how wonderful people are trying to help.

Everything. Simply everything. Heard a song, started crying. It was about the end of the Cold War in the former Soviet Union and just the thought of how history-altering Perestroika was made me bawl. Cried today when I saw my OB. Cried when my daughter said "BUF-fer-fly!" really clearly when she saw a butterfly in a book. I am an emotional wreck!

I knew I was pregnant when I cried three times in one day (and that was only at around 12 DPO).  I don't consider myself a crier, so that was a big clue.

This morning I cried when I read this news article about people going in to Kmart and anonymously paying off other people's layaway accounts: http://news.yahoo.com/anonymous-donors-pay-off-kmart-layaway-accounts-221000605.html

I would totally do this for someone, but there is no Kmart anywhere near me. I wonder if there's another store that also does layaway? I should find out.

Good thread.  I'm usually very emotionally stable.  Today I cried when I was reading the account from Michelle Duggar's baby's memorial service.  Breaking Dawn made me cry.  Come on!

I read that BEAUTIFUL article about the lady whose baby perked up with Kanga care. LOVED it.  (And cried.)

Now going to read the KMart article and cry some more.

I ended up watching "The Blind Side" last night. Who doesn't get misty eyed watching that movie?

This story made me cry this morning: http://www.startribune.com/business/135723808.html

Ha. I just realized this was linked to above. This article is pretty viral, huh? Darn nice people at Kmart...making us pregnant ladies cry.

Walmart does holiday layaway, too, I think, if anyone wants to try that. :)

I've been crying at that mean "Christmas Shoes" song...they're just wrong for playing that song.  Oh and yesterday I cried at the movies when there was this vingette where Santa had a snow globe of a city and got a soccer ball to come between these two boys playing on the game boys and the boys saw the soccer ball and started playing soccer with each other...I still have no idea why that made me cry.  My mom looked at me like I had sprouted horns on my head.

Well I had an ultrasound today so I cried.

I'm a wee bit emotionally sensitive on a normal basis, but so far this pregnancy it hasn't kicked into overdrive.  If I see that Pampers "Silent Night" commercial with the sleeping babies this year that will do it.  With Elsa every Pixar movie made me bawl, including Cars.

The only unusual weepy moment I had was during story time at work the other day when my co-worker read a book to the kids called "Mortimer in the Manger" (or something) about a little mouse who takes over a nativity scene until he hears the story and lets the statues back in.  It was very sweet.

omg - I cry at that song every year. I haven't heard it yet since been being pregnant, but that's an automatic tear jearker.

Dh secretly bought me a dozen roses and they arrived today! Such a sweetie that I teared up.

It almost made me less irritated that I found out today that he's told people at work already (when one of his colleagues called here and congratulated me)!!! GAH!
