16 months pp should I be charting

Hello all.  I was in the ttc forum a couple of years ago and now I find myself here.  I was wondering if I should start charting to avoid even though I have only had 3 pp periods.  These "periods" were only  a couple of days of spotting with no real bleeding and have occurred on days 36, 35 and 34 respectively. I have had breast tenderness and ewcf off and on with no regularity.  I am thinking I might not be ovulating and therefore charting might not be necessary.  I am still breastfeeding and cosleep so that means she is eating at night too!  Should I go get a basal body temp. thermometer?

Well, if you want to avoid I sure would!

The longer you go post-partum, the more likely you are to ovulate before your period (or so I have read).  With you actually having a period, you *are* going to ovulate one of these months.  If you want to be certain you don't catch that egg, I would be charting.
