I have been researching this so much lately and can't seem to find any answers or help. I am 32 weeks pregnant and I will be having a hospital birth. My husband and I do not like the sounds of the vitamin K injection they give at birth and I have been looking for an oral K supplement that I can use (in addition to eating leafy greens in the final stretch of my pregnancy) at the end of my pregnancy and to give to the baby after birth as well. My naturopath only has an oral K2 supplement in her office available, not K1. From my research, I would think a K1 supplement is what I need for blood clotting, but I'm not sure.
Do you have suggestions of a good oral Vitamin K supplement for myself and baby that assists with the blood-clotting process? If so, could you also provide instructions for it? OR maybe the K2 oral supplement my N.D. has in her office is what I need to accomplish this and does the same thing as K1?
