How big are you now? - Page 2

Sometimes I have the slightest of "pooches" but most of the time you still can't tell. I haven't gained or lost weight and for the most part can still fit into my regular clothes. With #1 I was with a pp who stayed in normal clothes (besides my already too tight BDUs) until 20+ weeks. With #2 I stayed in regular clothes until about 15+ weeks. So far I have surpassed 10 weeks so Im glad it didn't drop another 5 lol.

Although I couldn't wear my Christmas dress because I was pooching out that night (may have had something to do with Christmas cookies and pierogies...)

I'm hoping to stay in my regular clothes until like 15 weeks again and then start moving into my "chunkier" pants. Usually I can wear my own shirts almost until 40 weeks (well 34 with #1, 38 with #2) because they are super stretchy anyway.

Also I invested in larger size/loose summer clothes on crazy clearance at stores when I found out in November.

I feel like I'm totally popped at 12 weeks, but I'm still wearing my regular clothes and have had people say they didn't notice. (Not sure if they are being nice or oblivious.)

I'm avoiding my jeans, even though they are low rise. But my dress pants for work have been plenty comfortable. I think there's just more stretch in them. There is definitely something wrong with women's regular clothing sizes, though, b/c it's wrong that I'm wearing my new "smaller" pants size with this belly!

I am inbetween the normal pants and maternity pants right now. I have one pair of jeans that is lower and they fit ok, but in spite of the fact that I've lost weight since getting preg, I have a big baby belly and a lot of my pants do not fit. The maternity pants kind of slide off though, so  I am stuck with awkwardly fitting clothes for now. My shirts have moved over to mostly maternity though, because my belly is sticking out so much and my boobs are bigger and they are just all too short.

This is my 5th pregnancy though (2 babies so far, 2 miscarriages plus this baby) so my uterus is just used to stretching out.

Ok, I give up.Almost 10 weeks and already wearing maternity pants....first pregnancy. When my sister saw me she said I was "in denial" and I am "totally showing". So there you have it. Maternity clothes at 10 wks....

I feel like as soon as I hit 12 weeks I got huge!  I don't have many maternity clothes yet, but I got a gift card for Christmas.  It's time to start shopping.

I started on maternity pants at 6 weeks this time!  (2nd baby)  I'm sure that was 100% bloating, but I could not wear any work pants comfortably at all, and was soooo happy to put the stretchy waistband all.  I have no clue why people wait to wear maternity clothes, or complain about them.  I LOVE THEM!  ;-)  This time around I weight more than last time, so I can't reuse many of them, but I waited until gap had a 50-60% off sale and bought a ton.  Their full panel dress pants are heavenly!

I was trying to hide being pregnant at work until last week, so I really needed baggy shirts.  Maternity shirts are so form fitting, so I held off on those until now.

Right now I am 13 weeks (tomorrow) and my belly looks like it did at 20 weeks with my first pregnancy.  I know it's just all my organs pushed up, but I really look pregnant.

I was going to start a weight gain thread-- this pregnancy is confusing me!  Last time I was at the exact recommended weight for my height (which was very skinny looking) and I gained 8 lbs by the end of my first trimester.  This time I started 25 lbs overweight, and lost 4 lbs the first trimester.  I am so hoping that means I can keep my weight gain reasonable.  I gained 30 lbs last time and ultimately only lost 5 (lost 15, then gained back 10 as my son started solids and breastfeeding decreased).  Did any moms starting at a higher weight manage to gain less in subsequent pregnancies, just from not having to gain the extra fat padding?  I can hope!

I'm 10 weeks 2 days with twins and just bought maternity clothing. I should probably have done that a week or so ago. I have only gained 3 pounds, but look like I've gained 15. My organs have definitely done some major shifting.

I really thought I'd be showing more by now at nearly 14 weeks since I started at 5'4" and 95 lbs.  But I think my belly has actually gotten a tiny bit smaller over the past few weeks, probably from the bloating going down.  I show a tiny bit when I eat a lot, but otherwise I really don't look pregnant.  Pants are a little tight, but they've been just a little tight for weeks.  I suspect the lack of a baby belly is because I have a long torso for my height.

I feel huge! I have a baby bum album on my Facebook page (the same photo I postedin the groups bump thread yesterday) and I add a new photo once a week.

Since the beginning, I've gotten comments like, "You look so big for X weeks!" But yesterday there was a flurry of responses asking me of I was sure of dates, asking if I was having twins and telling me I looked cute but huge.

Grant I'm 10 weeks and I look FAR bigger, I can see it starting at 36 weeks... everyone asking "Haven't you had that baby yet!"

I think as long as you are eating reasonably, your body does what it does.  It takes care of itself.

My first pregnancy I gained wayyyy too much weight.  I just ate wayyyy too much and didn't exercise.  It was way unhealthy.

I was overweight when I started my second pregnancy and I gained like 10 pounds the entire pregnancy.  After giving birth, I weighed less than I started.  The baby was larger then my first by a pound.

I'm' only 10 weeks now and still very much over weight but I have been exercising a lot.  Like 5-6 times a week at the gym.  I started the routine in April and just continued it and didn't let up.  I have lost a significant amount of weight, but now it's starting to level off.  I'm sort of loosing weight and gaining it.  My body does what it does, I'm not too worried about it - and I'm not really keeping track.  I imagine like last time, I will gain minimally - because of my starting weight.

I have been to the doctors because of allergy problems and such and get weighed here and there, but it's hard to compare cause its different times of days, different scales, etc.  However, I think over the trimester I have lost 8-10 lbs and have not starved my body of any valuable nutrients.  I have over indulged in sweets over the holidays - which I must curb.  It's not good.

I am the same as my pre-pregnancy weight but clearly have a baby-belly. Wearing my maternity tights today and it's such a relief. I'm trying to wear through as much of my non-maternity wardrobe before I switch so I can have some variety.

I am now mostly wearing maternity stuff. I really need more tops. I can not believe how big I am and still in the first trimester!

I'm looking forward to the big box of maternity clothes DH's cousin sent. I won't be able to wear the pants she sent until much later on because I started at a much smaller pants size than she did, but the shirts will be great!

I'm huge, LOL.  I never lost all the weight from losing the twins, so that didn't help, and my abs are just shot from how quickly my belly grew with that pregnancy.  I'm 12 weeks today and look like I did at about 16 when I was pregnant with DS.  And I was HUGE at the end (though he was a 9 lb 7 oz baby!).  Moo.

I'm getting bigger all of the time. It's funny, I just realized this morning that I have some regular clothes that I should take advantage of right now. I have a few things that I never wore because I felt like they were rather unflattering unless you have a washboard stomach so they just sit in the back of the closet waiting to be worn under a sweater or ignored. Now I think these same things show off my belly so wonderfully! I'm so glad I never got rid of them.

I'm eleven weeks, and I am almost exclusively in stretchy yoga pants these days. I did go out and buy maternity jeans already; I've worn them a few times in the past couple of weeks as my regular ones got a bit too tight around 8 weeks. With this pregnancy (my second) all I care about is comfort, so I'm pretty content to be donning sweats and flowing dresses. I told my husband that I may never wear a zipper fly again :)

I am 14 weeks and now can not wear my regular pants. I have some maternity pants and stetchy yoga type pants now. My shirts still fit fine though.

I'm 13 weeks 4 days.  Since it's my first pregnancy and I tend to carry my weight on my belly anyway, I haven't felt like I was showing until last night.  Realized that weight is sitting totally differently to how it usually does.  Stomach looked less like a tire and more like a projectile device.

Went shopping for a new bra today.  Cup size and ribcage went up one size.  So I decided to go to a maternity shop and try on clothes, just for fun.  OMG.  I totally looked pregnant.  It was a bit overwhelming.  I left with a skirt and the realization that we should probably go public on this pregnancy in the very near future, as it's gonna be hard to hide soon.  Very fun.

I'm 14 weeks and wearing my regular clothes, but jeans are getting tight and uncomfortable. I ordered a bunch of maternity clothes from Old Navy, and wore some of them over the weekend just because I wanted to, but the jeans are falling off me so I really need to hold off wearing them again for a while. I think I've gained about 7 pounds. I was actually hoping for some morning sickness to help curb my appetite, but nope--I've felt basically fine since Day 1 and a few of those pounds are probably easily attributable to holiday treats.

I can't seem to do the hair tie thing with my jeans--my zippers want to fall down and I can't figure out how to stop that. Maybe I just don't care for the feeling of buttoning my jeans under my belly instead of over it. I feel like I have carpenter's crack all the time and am constantly pulling my jeans up. My bras are getting a little tight too--not so much in the cup, but my belly seems to be getting bigger all the way up my ribcage, so the band can feel a little tight some days. It's just sort of an in-between phase right now.

I'm a pretty big girl and this is my first baby, so that probably contributes to the lack of "showing" thus far (I can tell that my belly is sticking out further, but I don't think anyone else really can). On the other hand, my good friend is 21 weeks with her first and about 70-80 pounds lighter than me, and she's probably showing even less than I am. So who knows.
