Hello! I have been reading the Mothering forums for almost a year now since having my first child, my son Jacob, January 17th, 2011! I consult the forums often when I have a question about something, am curious, or need inspiration. I'm amazed when I "google" something and links to Mothering posts pop up in the first five results. I think it's great that a warm, gentle, informed, and compassionate viewpoint is readily available to so many out there, like me.
Yesterday I finally actually joined MDC as a new member so I can help with the Holiday Helpers program.
I'm excited to participate in the forums! I used to participate quite a bit on the knitting forum Ravelry, but I no longer have much time for crafting with an 11 month old!
I look forward to reading the forums as I deal with some upcoming issues in my life... Possibly going back to work, raising a toddler, and lookIng at education options.

Oh, and if anyone has any issues, any date, of Mothering they'd like to send me, give me a PM! I've read a grand total of one issue before it went out of print and would love to catch up. I can pay for shipping, or trade for yarn!
