What is this smell in her neck folds, behind her ears, and her armpits? It almost smells foul and shes always moist in those areas, I don't think dd1s neck rolls smelled like that, its different.

Ps: she's got pretty moderate eczema and I am off soy, dairy and gluten for 2 weeks

I'm gonna say yeast. Yeast can also cause a rash; is it possible her eczema isn't actually eczema?

I supppose it could be something else tho it seems very eczematous. How could I tell? How would you get rid of yeast? Im afraid totake probiotics because its made of lactose. Wwyd?

Sounds like yeast to me too. My DS gets that sometimes. Make sure you clean the folds regularly and make sure they are dry afterwards. Then you can apply marigold oil to the folds (marigold oil is very popular for using on babies in Germany. There are even diaper creams made with it). If this doesn't help, you can get an anti-fungal cream for it.

For me, I might take baby in to get checked out by a pediatrician to see if s/he thinks its eczema or yeast, if you haven't already. If it's yeast maybe you can expand your diet again :)  It clears up easily with a topical antifungal and washing/drying those folds. I have a rolly-polly baby and I have to really get in there to prevent that funk!

We get the stink & it doesn't take long. I wipe out the folds & then apply a nice diaper cream & it goes away, but if I gorget for a day it is back. Someone suggested cornstarch but I haven't tried that yet.
