Hy 3 yr old got a 2nd dose of prevnar 5 days ago and has been complaining of a sore throat as of this afternoon. It's hard to say yet if it's strep. I'll have to see how he's feeling tomorrow. I know that Prev. is a vaccine for that type of strep...at least I think it is. Has anyone had experience with the vax leading to strep? If he is still feeling it tomorrow I will take him in to his ped as I don't think there's any way around ABs for strep. Poor guy. I was so hesitant to even get him this vax and I'll be so upset if this is what it leads too.
