I just need some reassurance. I thought that I felt some movement earlier in the week, and that was just once, but nothing since then. I thought with this being my second that I would be feeling more movement, not less. I had my midwife appt on Tuesday and she said "So you're feeling the baby move?" and seemed surprised when I said no. I was comforting myself with thoughts of an anterior placenta (that's when it's in the front, right?) but when she listened for the heartbeat with the doppler and found it right away, clear and really strong, she said that I probably didn't have an anterior placenta if we could hear the heartbeat that well. Anyone else having #2 or more and not feeling movement yet? I'm sure that I had felt DS by this time last time around. Just having a bit of a freak-out and needed to vent.
15.5 weeks, Baby #2, not feeling any movement?
This is my sixth and I've never felt consistent movement until after 20 weeks. I felt occasional flutters before then, but the baby still so small that it's hard to track regularly. I'm 14 weeks and am still trying to figure out if I'm feeling the baby or gas. :P I think it's strange for your midwife to assume regular movement this early....
Thanks guys! I think that my midwife assumed that I would be feeling movement because I felt movement pretty early with DS and with #2 its usually sooner...I don't know. I heard a good heartbeat so I wasn't as concerned with the movement thing that day. I think it was the next day (Wed) that I thought I felt something but nothing since then. I'm just paranoid. And patience is not my strong suit.
I've been wondering that, too. I'm 15 weeks on Monday.
I mean, I almost think I feel something every once in a while, but then I'm like, no, that's in the wrong place to be baby, must be gas...
But I have IBS, so I get weird feelings when I'm not pregnant, so. You know.
I wouldn't worry about it till like 18 weeks or so, really. Sometime between 15 and 17 weeks is about typical for first movements, isn't it?
I'm 14w4d with my third past 7.5 weeks and I started feeling little bumps and flutters at about 10 weeks or so every few days. This week I felt the baby earlier in the week a few times but yesterday and today I didn't really feel much that I could be sure was baby but I have been really busy with DS dance show so maybe just didn't notice. I keep feeling like I should be feeling more consistent movement but then I have to remind myself that even at 16 weeks with DS I would go a day or 2 of not really feeling anything and he was a super active baby.I really hate this stage and can not wait for those big kicks and consistent movements.
Yeah....same, third baby, 16 weeks...very infrequent movement. DEFINITE movement when I do feel it...but not consistent at this point. I agree that until 19. 20+ weeks I've never felt consistent movement....though I swear this pg I'm feeling less than I did with my past two. The movements are WAY different this time, much bigger feeling, but I'm getting much less of it.
Same here except it's my 5th pregnancy. I had an ultrasound yesterday and I saw the baby move on the screen but felt nothing.
