Weeks/Days along: 12w4d

Appointments: My first was last week.  Heard the heartbeat.  My 3 year old was with me and he was amazed.

Symptoms: Still nauseous, boo.  Tired too.

Food: I'm recovering from a stomach bug and still finding it hard to eat because of that and the nausea

Exercise: None yet...I still have plans to do something once I'm out of the first trimester

Body changes and other milestones: I don't feel as though I look as pregnant as I did a few weeks ago, I guess a lot of it was just bloating

Thoughts: I'm excited for Christmas next weekend and I'm hoping I get enough energy to bake some cookies!  I also have to plan the menu for Christmas day and everything sounds gross right now so it's kind of difficult!

Weeks/Days along: 12 weeks 5 days

Appointments: had an appt with the fam doc but my first midwife appt is wed!

Symptoms: bloating. but that is from eating stuff i have intolerances to. did i mention i am craving food i shouldnt eat. lol. and i eat every 30 min!

Food: i want mint for some reason. so i have been drinking decaf coffee with candy canes and stuff swirled in. any kind of meat as long as it had a whole salad on it. fresh veggies. veggies i shouldnt eat bc of their fructose content. sigh.

Exercise: house work. more than normal sometimes. if not that then i am napping.

Body changes and other milestones: i look huge bc of the bloating but i can feel my uterus inside above my pubic bone now. i am all out in front.

Thoughts: i am super excited now. i am over the scared part mostly and the paranoid part mostly. i think bc the midwife said yes to getting me in.

Weeks/Days along: Almost 15 weeks!

Appointments: Seeing our midwife every 4-5 weeks

Symptoms: Not much this week

Food: Continuing to eat lots of nutrient dense foods Mmmm

Exercise: Yoga 2x a week and lots of walking

Body changes and other milestones: My belly just 'feels' different when I'm laying down and palpating it. So interesting!

Thoughts:

I'm not able to get on here as much as I would like to because I'm so active on FB and Twitter and can't find the time... but I wanted to pop in to share a FUN project I've teamed up with a local photographer to do! A pregnancy photo journal :-)

Here's my 1st picture:

Anyone else taking daily/weekly/monthly photos and posting them here or to a blog? This is going to be such a great way to create lifelong memories of my 1st pregnancy that I can look back on for years to come!

Weeks/Days along: 16w2d

Appointments: No more until Jan 5

Symptoms: Still dealing with nausea. Starting to figure it out though I think.

Food: Popcorn. I'm not totally sure, but I think popcorn is magic food.

Exercise: Not really. I try a few things here and there, but I am still to worn out from the nausea.

Body changes and other milestones: Not quite popped yet, but starting to look pregnant.

Thoughts: I am enjoying more and more moments each day. Looking forward to the anatomy scan on Jan 5!

Weeks/Days along:   13 and 2

Appointments:           Had the NT scan (my 4th u/s! crazy!) and an OB appointment last week. Baby looks great, and the NT scan doctor though she saw girl parts!

Symptoms:                Swinging wildly between crazy hungry and nausea/indigestion. Much better than two weeks ago!

Food:                         I just ate 2 jalepeno mango sausages and some tater tots for dinner.  I can't get enough clementines.

Exercise:                   I keep talking about prenatal yoga and not doing it. I'm so tired.

Body changes and other milestones:    I definitely have a decent bump, I think. I think I feel the baby once in awhile if I'm very still.

Thoughts:                  Scored some great maternity clothes at Savers yesterday. I got a pair of Gap below the belly jeans for $2.99, Old Navy legging type jeans for 3.99, and a nice sweater. I can't stand anything on my belly.  Also dh and I bought the first girl outfit at the mall... so cute and not TOO pink. Saving the receipt just in case, of course.

Symptoms: Still sore breasts, some nausea and m/s and this painful round ligament pain.

Food: Can't seem to get enough.

Exercise: 2 X a week

Body changes and other milestones: I am busting out the maternity clothes and love my belly bump!

Thoughts:  OUCH! Three words. Round ligament pain!

Weeks/Days along:  13 weeks!

Appointments:  Next one Dec 28th

Symptoms:  Need to eat every two hours or the nausea hits bad.

Food:  like Tina, craving clementines.  Also wanting protein- have been making egg and habanero jack sandwiches

Exercise:  Long walks with the dogs at least 3 times a week

Body changes and other milestones:  Got a definite bump now.

Thoughts:  can't wear regular clothes, not quite in maternity clothes.  All yoga pants for me.

Weeks/Days along: 14 weeks 3 days

Appointments: We find out Friday what we're having! We're going to Stork Vision for a gender reveal with our kids, my mom, and hubby's dad and stepmom. So, so, so excited! I have a regular OB appointment on the 28th.

Symptoms: Just reflux and heartburn at this point. I can handle that MUCH better than the nausea/vomiting, which apparently are gone now! Woohoo!

Food: I've found these Icebreakers Sours "mints" (but they're actually super sour candy) in a lime green round container that cost about a million dollars a box, but they are really great for the nauseous feeling my reflux/heartburn gives me. I've been eating those like crazy. Other than that, I just really like string cheese and cucumbers right now. Most other things sound gross for most of the day, especially fried/heavy foods. BUT AT LEAST I'm not throwing up anymore!

Exercise: Nooope. lol.gif

Body changes and other milestones: Really growing! No one's outright asked me if I'm pregnant or when I'm due yet in public, but I can tell they want to! lol.gif

Thoughts: Ready for some movement! Come on, baby! Let me know you're in there!

Prenatal Coach, that is awesome!  You look adorable with that belly!  I have a blog this time around, too.  You think you'll remember all that cute, adorable stuff they do...but you don't.  This time I'm ready!

Weeks/Days along:   14 weeks, 1 day

Appointments:   had a dating ultrasound last week and my due date has been changed to June 19th (i estimated June 16th) which is my birthday! it was so amazing to see my baby for the first time. it was jumping and moving all over the place :) i feel bad for DP who couldnt be there.

Symptoms:   crazy hungry all the time! my belly feels different too, i love it!

Food:    i wish i could figure out this food thing. nothing sounds good! which is frustrating when youre ravenous. im in a food rut.

Exercise:    lots of walking and trying to do more. i looked up prenatal yoga classes last night but they are pricey. we will see.

Body changes and other milestones:    my bump is getting a little bit bigger, but its more displaced organs than baby.

Thoughts:  this keeps getting more real every day! we are finally telling the world, now that we have seen the little one and know for sure everything is ok (i knew anyway though).

Weeks/Days along: 15W

Appointments: Last Monday, heard the heartbeat, gained 4 lbs

Symptoms: Return of energy! I'm now showing, nauseous only when I forget to eat for a few hours, and I have to PEE ALL THE TIME!

Food: I'v ebeen craving sweets lately

Exercise: I did lots of sledding last week

Body changes and other milestones: I have a bump! This is early for me, but very exciting.  I'm enjoying a return of my energy levels and not feeling sick all the time.

Thoughts: DH is getting excited now that there is visible evidence of our newest family member.  He also just passed a big physical exam that he needed to become a firefighter, so things are pretty happy around this house these days.  I broke out all the baby doll stuff to start preparing the younger two little ones for their new sibling, which makes this whole thing seem so much more real to me.

Weeks/Days along: 15w1d

Appointments:  Jan 20th is my 1st ultrasound

Symptoms: Been getting headaches this week, not cool.  My stomach is sore, feels like it's stretching big time.

Food:  I eat breaky at 630am, snack at 930am, lunch at noon, snack at 2-230pm and dinner at 6pm and I've not had any nausea!  Seems to work well for me :)

Exercise:  Hikes with the pooch on Sat and Sundays.  Not doing my DVD as much as I should these past few weeks :(

Body changes and other milestones:  Up one cup size.  My regular tops are starting to get a little to short..lol  I'll have to buy some new stuff in a few weeks.

Thoughts:  So happy to be in the second trimester!  I just wish I could feel the baby move!  Really looking forward to that.

We decided to opt out of getting the triple screen.  Not sure what you Americans call those tests.  It tests for Downs etc.  We decided that the stress of a positive or false positive which is high would be too hard and we will deal with what is dealt to us when the baby arrives.

Weeks/Days along: 16 weeks 2 d

Appointments:  2nd midwife appointment was today. Heard the heartbeat!

Symptoms: still tired but more good days than bad days. Stuffed up sinuses and increased allergies.

Food: Most things. Loving anything garlicy and also clementines.

Exercise: Not much now. Some dog walking and I'm going to sign up for prenatal yoga in the new year.

Body changes and other milestones: I feel huge and am starting to feel like it is awkward to bend and move easily.

Thoughts: I'm looking forward to the holidays being over - i'm too wiped to feel the ho ho ho's this year. We have an open house on xmas eve and I am despairing of getting my house ready. I gave in and bought all the food preprepared. Not even baking cookies this year let alone making my own appies.

Weeks/Days along: 15w6d

Appointments: meeting with my midwife for the 1st time Dec 29th. until i found a midwife i liked i have been seeing an ob. had my NT scan at 12 weeks and everything looked great! got to see the baby and it just made it so real!

Symptoms: i feel sick all the time. from 6 to 14 weeks i could not smell anything! that's gotten better now, but i'm now dealing with constantly plugged ears and i'm still spitting a lot at night.

Food: ack! nothing sounds too good. i just go with what sounds the least disgusting. i can't wait till my appetite returns to normal.

Exercise: not doing as much as i'd like. i occasionally take bike rides and go for walks w/ ds - but other than that not too much. i told myself this pregnancy i'd do more but alas, i don't feel great when pregnant so oh well - i want to do more when/if i start to feel better

Body changes and other milestones: i don't think i've gained more than 2 lbs but my stomach just popped this week! Up until now you couldn't really tell i was pregnant. now i think ppl can tell something is up - either i'm a little pudgier or that i'm preggo

Thoughts: like Lite said, i'm so happy to be in the 2nd trimester!
