Interviewing in Charlotte...

Any recommendations of what to do, see, where to eat, etc.?  Where should we check out for living?  In the city proper? And is Davidson really the preferred suburb for us crunchy types?  Thanks!  FYI we have two littles...20 months and 4 years.  TIA!!! :)

I'm moving to Charlotte as well come April 2012. Thelocknestmother, I've visited Charlotte and NoDa has some really good restaurants and is pretty artsy.  There is also a really nice YMCA right by NoDa, but I've heard all the Y's in Charlotte are nice, and that there are a lot of them.

How fun VV! We prob would be moving down in June.  Nice to hear about the Ys...we love ours here in MI.  We def look into NoDa.  Thanks!

We go to the Johnston y in noda and really love it there. You may also want to check out plaza midwood, a neighborhood near noda, in east Charlotte. That's where we are, just moved this summer, and we're really happy. good luck interviewing!

I'm in South Charlotte (Matthews, actually). If you get a membership to the Y, it will get you into any Charlotte Y. There's also a couple crunch meetup groups here where you can meet other like-minded mamas. Charlotte Babywearers and Charlotte Natural Moms.
