Okay, I've noticed a few of us are awake.  Here is a place for those of us who can't sleep through the night ...sleepytime.gif

oh i am a terrible sleeper, i always have been.  at night that is, i can snooze all day long :D but that gets pretty depressing, i try to be up by 11 but i usually take a nap until 2 after being up for an hour or so, night times are just restless.  the napping and up by 11 thing are exclusive to this last 2 weeks of pregnancy thing  haah i like to wake up by nine and go tbed by one.  its 2:30 now, Dp is fitfully sleeping through his fever, i keep changing is cool washcloths, its discouraging me from getting in bed because hes doing his diagonal sleeping position and hes so hot and sweaty, that i dont think i could bear to be next to him, also he has chills so i cant turn the fan on and im already boiling sitting in a chair in nothing but a tube top dress.  ugh.  ive been getting more and more into my awesome one and only video game oblivion, it keeps me occupied since in the past 5 days or so is really when the total lack of being able to go to sleep has set in.

I'm still up.  Ugh.  Still feeling pressure with my contractions at my cervix and in my lower back, but they aren't regular.  I just wrapped a gift for my daughter to bring to her classmate at tomorrow's Christmas party and put away some dishes.

I'm not feeling tired, but I am going to try getting in bed and see what happens ...

The birth pool has been set up and supplies are mostly gathered in the birth room/our "office".  thumb.gif

I have hardly slept in a week. It's in like 3 hour increments. I'm now an hour into my "due date" hahahaha

In the Weeks leading up to the birth, DH slept longer hours and I slept much shorter ones. He said he was stockpiling for when Eli got here, I said I was training for the sleep deprivation. I did much better on the transition than he did. Fear not, ladies! These sleepless nights are good for something. wink1.gif

What drives me nuts is trying to figure out when to sleep. If I don't sleep well, I take a nap. Too long or too late of a nap means I won't sleep at night... but I don't dare skip it, because what if I go into labor on no sleep? eyesroll.gif

I worried about that a lot, so I slept sooo much in the last week or so. I ended up going into labor after one of our busy busy days though. lol. We'd been out shopping all say long, came home and I napped for two hours at about 5-7, and then I tried to go to bed at 9, but didn't end up falling asleep until 1130... and woke up to my water breaking and instant contractions at 12:45am. no sleep for this mommy!

Ladies, it gets so much better after baby arrives! You can do this. Only a week or two left for most of you! How thrilling!

I got about 2 hours of sleep before I delivered our little guy. I do get cramped muscles now at night, but am able to sleep 3 hours in a row at least once per night which is wonderful! Insomnia stinks!

This is my fourth - sleep when you are able. This evening I was practically in tears because I was so tired and worried I'd go into labor - DH sent me to bed! I've gone into labor before with pretty much a couple hours sleep a day for a week prior - not fun! Sleep every chance ya get :)

LOL. Thanks for the laugh, the pretzels flew out of my mouth and into my cup of water sitting on the desk. I haven't gotten desperate enough to try scare tactics on baby, but will keep it in mind. Still hoping and reasoning with baby to come out soon.

I've been awake over an hour and I've realized it's just time to wake up and have breakfast.

I've just had a very strong contraction, and I hope it will lead me to labour... I don't want to drive to my 41 week prenatal visit today.greensad.gif  My hips and back are TIRED of my carrying this babe.

People have been less active online lately, so I've been bothered less about when this baby is arriving.  My neighbor dropped off some soup for us last night because she's heading out of town and had wanted to bring a meal when the babe arrives.

How thoughtful. It must be really nice to live next to such considerate people. I hope you do go into labor (But only if Baby is ready!) and that everything goes smoothly. It is a small consolation that we are in the running for New Year's Day babies though!
