DP gave the go ahead to look for a dr to do tubal reversal!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I am really excited and scared and you  name it.  ds will be 4 in Feb, and I had my tubes tied 3 years ago, when we were POSITIVE we didn't want more kids.  WELL, we were not done.  I was 27 when I had it done.  I am now 31 dp is 29.  we have both been talking baby talk for years now. He keeps mentioning that a woops through the tubal would be great, and I agree, But I doubt I will be that 1%, so last night he said you wore me down...lol.  BUT here is my issue, I can't seem to find someone that does them near us (within a couple hour car ride)  I am North of Albany NY, does anyone know ANY drs that do them around there?(VT and MA) too?????????????

Why are you set on staying within a couple hours?

There is a good chance that with that recent of a vasectomy it would be cheaper to fly to Texas to get the reversal:

It is actually a tubal reversal.  Once we save up the $ for the reversal, that will be it.  I wouldn't want to be that far away..

I'm sorry, I totally misread.  When I was doing research (in vas reversals) I found that there were some *very* cheap places in the south.  Primarily because the people considered it a ministry.  Good luck finding someone you are comfortable with.

Congrats!! I had a tubal reversal March 2011 in NC at Chapel Hill tubal reversal center... they were awesome. It was too much $$ to do it up here ( I am near albany as well)

The OB that did the reversal retired, and I finally tracked down my records.  I am going to pick them up tomorrow.

I finally received my records today, I had filshie clips, that was it.  It stated they made incisions and placed clips removed the air, and closed my sutures.  I am hoping that this means that it will be easily reversed.  It's funny cause I was reading the dr's notes, and it stated that I said "tie them, cut them, and burn them please"........Glad he didn't listen to me, must of been having a bad day

I live near Albany too, and am wondering what DR you are looking into... I traveled to Chapel Hill NC for mine, but I wanted a DR who ONLY does reversals, not a reproductive endo, who will only push me into IVF.  I wanted someone who does reversals like 5 times a week or more VS 3 times a year or less... see what I mean?
