Chicken Pox?

Can someone help me out here?  My son had a fever and was acting sick (fluish) for a few days and then this "rash" appeared.  I hesitate to say rash since it's more like pus pockets.  I'm thinking chicken pox, but the thing that makes me hesitate is that it's mostly appeared on his buttocks and then nearer the knees and elbows.  I thought chicken pox started on the torso and spread to the limbs.  Also, it seems like it's in patches and not over his whole body.  For instance, his chest and back are clear.  But, now my dd had a fever and now she has some of the same spots on her buttocks.  I'll attach pictures.  Any opinions would be great.

I think I'd get that checked out.  It does not look like CP to me.   Those are some big bumps.  CP starts out as small red bumps and then progresses to  blister filled bumps.  That one on the leg is quite large and red almost looks like an infected bug bite.  I'd go to the dr to figure out what you're dealing with.

Thanks it turned out to be hand, foot and mouth.  So, nothing serious.  It just looks worse than it is. I appreciate taking the time to respond.
