Haha. My DH has done 3 SAs. One was pretty good considering he couldn't hold out. One was dismal and the other was fantastic. He wanted the 3rd one. LOL.
sila - Just wanted to say - the Provera raises your temp, as it's a form of progesterone. So your temps should be like post-O temps while you are taking it, and probably for a few days after you finish, since the post-O progesterone in your body is what raises your temps in a normal cycle. It should also suppress any follicle growth, so you won't be O'ing at all this cycle. (Progesterone-only birth control is what nursing moms doing hormonal BC use, though I'm not sure how the dosages compare.)
About AMH - also what my RE used to measure ovarian reserve. Mine was off-the-charts high, which isn't uncommon in PCOS. It stands for Anti-Mullerian Hormone, and I completely forgot how it measures ovarian reserve, though I used to know. I think it is somehow produced by immature egg cells, but that could be completely off.
About dhs who don't want to do an SA - maybe it's just pregnancy hormones, but I would happily slap them for you. It's not exactly an 'invasive procedure', and it's completely pointless to continue with ovulation induction treatments if there's 0 sperm present. Luckily, though not excited about it, my dh wasn't too reluctant. But I was also able to go along with him to the appointment and provide some... help... in producing the sample, as neither of us was comfortable with him looking at porn. Just my . Oh, and most REs I know of won't go forward with treatment without a SA.
