We have been practicing elimination communication - on and off - since he was 6 months old. He turned 2 last week, and he is still in diapers, but if he is naked, then he can feel pee or poo coming and he runs to the potty. He's been doing this for a few weeks. So he is basically potty trained if naked :) I can do this while I'm home with him, but usually when I'm at work, he has a diaper or trainers on. I've tried undies too. If he has anything on - pants, diapers, underwear - he will just pee in whatever he has on. Being wet doesn't seem to bother him. I think he is ready to take the next step - but I'm not sure how to get there. I want him to break for the potty even when he has something on (he's done this a couple of times, but not in a while). Any advice?Â
On a separate note, one thing I have noticed is that it's really hard to get trainers on and off - he can't seem to get them over his bum. We use the Flip and Blueberry training pants. So even when he does tell me that he has to go potty, he can't do it himself, I have to help him. Any advice on that? Thanks mommas!!!
