Braxton Hicks at 19 weeks all day long. What does this mean?

Hello.  I'm new and this is my first post!  I'm happy that I found a place to share and get support during this pregnancy.

I am 19 weeks pregnant with my 3rd daughter and everything has been smooth this pregnancy so far until yesterday when I had almost constant braxton hicks!  No bleeding, they weren't painful but no matter what I did, drank water or rested on my left side they continued.  By evening I started getting worried and then they finally stopped.  I feel better this morning and I can still feel my little one move around so that's good.  I called the nurse on-call and she said to just take it easy and if something more happens to go in.

Has anyone experienced this?  Any thoughts or insights on what is going on?

Thanks so much.

I've never experienced it, but have heard it can be common.  I would just make sure you aren't dehydrated, and rest...   :)  welcome to the group!

Welcome to the group and congratulations on baby 3!

Im expecting #3 as well and getting Braxton hicks very frequently. I get them when I'm stressed. I get them most when I'm dehydrated or not well rested. My mw assures me they're normal, especially on baby 3. Resting on my left side and drinking lots of water usually makes them go away after awhile.
If they're not getting progressively more painful you're probably fine. They're annoying but don't seem to be a sign of anything bad.

Thank you!  It's very comforting to know that somebody else has experienced this.  I may have been really tired yesterday. I guess this is a sign to take better care of myself :).

Hey there, I'm glad you posted this, because I am having exactly the same experience.  I always forget to ask my midwife about it too.  This is also my third.  Welcome!!
