Took a pile of stuff to the consignment sale....some of the bigger stuff will be returned if not sold, so not counting those things yet, but the stuff going to charity if not sold is GONE. I'll know about the non-donated stuff after Monday.

183 things to sale

183 + 44 = 227

Basically you click on 'seller account' and run the ISBN's thru the amazon system.  They will quote you how much that item is worth.  Continue on until you are done with your pile of stuff.  Some things they may not be buying.  When done, verify your total, click submit, print out the prepaid shipping label and packing slip.  box and send to amazon.  In about a week the $$ appears in your amazon account.  I LOVE IT!

My mother sent 2 items to me, they went directly from the post office to: the donation bin and returned at the store.  Taking points because I actually got a back bone this time.  Taking 2 more points for earrings that I don't like but have been holding on to since ex-roomie gave them to me a couple xmas ago.  (Yes more boundaries).

For got to add in on first post the $12.00 from the returned item. Store credit but its still better than an unwanted item in my house@

4 total but lots of backbone development!

Amazon money hit the account! $21.85

NEW TOTAL

$51.32

Corrected and updated!

Attempted to organize my kitchen cabinet. It ended up being an epic fail because I kept getting interrupted, but I did manage to get rid of a couple of things. More food waste. :-(

Composted/Consolidated:

8 jars of spices (some just combined with other jars)

1 bag freeze dried applies that were way past expiration

Discarded:

1 pair of DS shoes that fell apart

Mrs Mike, I know how you feel.  I want/need to just pull apart my pantry and re-assemble everything.  My pantry is in the corner of my dining room- which is being used as my office.  Groceries never get put away properly and I know if I was to dedicate 3 hrs to the process everything would look so much nicer, I would be able to find things, meal plan and use things more efficiently.   I DID have a plan when I moved in here.   Hummm....

Maybe I need to borrow a friends label maker?

Made it to 1/4 of the way done! I felt at 1/10th of the way like I'd gotten most of the low-hanging fruit. I really feel that way now, even though I have at least 30 more items that are going to go out as soon as I find recipients (30 out of 2012 is nothing), and I haven't even gotten to the car yet and there's probably a few more things in there. I guess we'll see. I'm doing a second pass through a lot of areas I already hit, and finding stuff I reluctantly held onto the first time. Also, I organized most of my kitchen drawers; even though I didn't throw much out, I made them a lot easier to deal with.

Yay! Sold 2 items.

I was able to do a little unpacking today and put some things away for goodwill - 5 Unused rolls of christmas wrapping (we have plenty enough), 2 little toys, snow globe and a like new lunch box that was a little cumbersome for me to use.

Threw away one very dingy lunch box (went to recycling as it's no.5) and 1 bag of general recycling from the purge (unsued boxes, papers I had saved etc).

Brings my total up to 183.

Yipee! So happy to have done some purging. joy.gif

4 unopened and still in date, bags of lollies.

Last one for today..

Fabric animal purse (still in beautiful condition but the kids didn't take an interest in it)

Pillowcase (used once)

Unused slippers that are now too small for my youngest

All going to goodwill.

Final count for today: 190 / 2012.

Oh man... I'm honestly probably donated 1,000 items already, but I didn't see this thread! Getting ready to sell our house and MAJORLY decluttering! Lets just estimate that we've brought out 20 boxes of stuff (Its been more for sure + the stuff our friends took out of the basement giveaway boxes before they left the house). So I'll say 20 boxes with 20 things each is 400! I'm going to start there (a very conservative estimate) and then list more specifically!
