Got a bunch of stuff bagged up to take to the local rescue mission and the bags are in the car so I'm counting them.

Donated-196 various clothing & household goods

Moved- 2 items sent to my DH's shop

Trashed-roughly 20 items

218 + 498 = 716.....1/3 of the way there!!

And I got my consignment sale check , so up to $172.98

This is really not even worth a post, but if I don't put it here I will surely forget. One other plastic container sent away with another friend, for a total of 276. I've also got at least four books I can sell online for a decent amount, but I'll wait to add them to my total until they are actually gone from the house.

lilacvioletiris, I've had amazing luck selling on facultybooks.com —DH and I are faculty, but you can sell if you're a student, too. They won't take everything, but they pay pretty well for what they do take, and they'll even send you free boxes, packing tape, and mailing labels.

Eek, it's been almost a week since my last post! Today:

Over 100 cans/bottles returned for deposit (I'm totally counting all hundred since it's taken us forever to get those gone!)

3 plastic bottles to recycling

20 small bottles of acrylic paints to our apartment give-away table

2 dozen various items to the trash, including a bunch of papers that had to be shredded

1 return boxed up to go back to Amazon (technically will go out tomorrow)

Several things went into the Goodwill box but I'll count those when they actually leave the house.

Had DS clean out the car and attempt to clean off the coffee table.  Counting this as "10" since lots was just trash and such.  The car was bad in the back, how does that happen?  One 11 yr old child and I routinely stop at the dumpster on the way out of the apartment complex.??

We also got rid of several freebies from the winter/spring reading program at the library.  I love the program and they have improved the 'goodies', less cheap plastic crap and more coupons for free stuff (Free slushie at Sonic, free pizza at Peter Piper, book at the end, etc) but there is still some junk.

*I am determined to get to the kiddie resale shoppe this weekend,  there should be NO excuses.

lol I know what you mean.. I have several bags that have been waiting for months to go to the kids consignment shop in the back of the car.  I'd like to go tomorrow.. we'll see if the kids cooperate : )

update: didn't make it.. lol. BUT I did make it to the jewelry store to sell some gold jewelry and to the adult consignment shop. So not a total failure.
