I last posted on March 7 with these totals:

January - 192

Febuary - 68

March - 13

Grand Total - 273

1739 remaining

I stopped counting in April because my life got crazy as it does every end of the semester and into the summer. We moved 1600 miles at the end of July. Before we moved, I purged a lot of stuff. Big ticket items and smaller items. We just put it in our front yard and people with children or kids going of the college would come pick it up. Most of the stuff we were given at some point in our lives so we thought we would just pass it on instead of hauling it all off to goodwill. I can not even count the items because it was so much, including two trips to the dump. We ended up putting the lives of the six of us in a 20 feet moving van. We easily surpassed the 2012 mark. I was happy with the downsizing. Now we are redoing the floors and walls of our current house so we are still living out of boxes. However, as soon as we are done, I am going back to de-cluttering. It seems as though it is a process that never stops, even if we just did a huge purging. There is always more to get rid of.

Keep up the good work everyone, I like watching the totals rise!

Another 27 books from the shelves that I've been purging from since January.  Also dropped off all the stuff from the past week at a used goods store so my car is significantly emptier and my mind a little clearer.

4 bottles and 6 nipples to go to a friend.

And... the best part of today is that my husband got rid of TEN t-shirts!  Yay!  This is a huge step for him!

Phew~ busy, fun summer!  School is looming and I am feeling  enough pressure to get organized.  This weekend, I super cleaned out all three kids closets, my DS's room and the play room.  Conservatively, I have weeded out another 750 items (no-- not kidding!).  About half of the stuff was recycled/trashed, about 25% went to thrift shop, about 10 % passed along to friends & now I need to list on Caigslist and Ebay to see if I can cash in.

I'm really trying to pare down our clothes...holy smokes our drawers are bulging, even with the clean out.

Running Total:  1289/2012 & pocketed $89

Long time since an update, but here we are at 697 items gone! We had a rummage sale and donated everything that didn't sell and that really helped!

Two truckloads of stuff gone from the garage. What would y'all count that as...number wise?

I wouldn't even know how many items I am at now, but I know it is well over the 2012 mark. We moved from Wyoming to Iowa and crammed everything in our van. All the furniture was sold or given away. My kids brought 1 small suitcase of toys and a large suitcase of clothing. I brought only the clothes for the season. We brought basically the necessities and some sentimental items. We have slowly accumulated more and the decluttering never stops.

We are planning to move to Washington state next summer...after I finish my schooling. So the decluttering begins now as I am pretty sure that we will fill up our van again and maybe a small trailer this time as we have had a baby since.

So today I have a HUGE contractor bag of clothes, another large garbage bag of clothes, a bag of toys, some things that hang on the wall, a box of dishes, cd's and dvd's, vacuum and a garbage bag of misc items, a bag of baby items......more to go!

I'm going to low ball another estimate of 100 items.  Lots wool dish towels, some hockey equipment and old underwear and jersies.

I also have a huge bin of baby cloths ready to be sorted for donations and garbage.  I'll be at 2012 within the next 24 hours!  I'm hoping to be close to 3000 by the time Christmas comes.  There is no way I am pulling out all of my decorations and stuff along with my winter items in September so they'l have to wait.
