Strange PMs

I've received two odd PMs in the last 5 days from new members who have no posts listed and nothing on their profile. They both state that they googled some specific topic and my post came up. Then they specifically inquire about that topic. I feel sort of violated by these PMs! Usually, if someone PMs me it is b/c they are following up to a thread we are both posting in--so I know their screen name and "who they are".

How do you suggest I respond to this and is it common?

Those are unusual and uncomfortable PMs from new members. You can report them and we'll remove their PM access.
