Hi All. I am pregnant with my 4th and am an avid athlete/bodybuilder. When I get pregnant I cut out any additional supplements other than a natural protein powder, and also adjust accordingly when BFing as well. Prior to this pregnancy I saw a naturopathic dr for awhile for a variety of things. One thing he did was have me start taking some additional amino acids (specifically l-valine, l-leucine, and l-glutamine) during my workouts (was suffering major fatigue working through some chronic health problems my 2 youngest have). These supplements have helped me a ton. This dr has sense left the area. I am under the care of an OB this pregnancy.
I cut them out, but now at 22+ weeks have been trying to research to see if they are safe, and can find limited info. Does anyone have some info or research on these? I would love to reintroduce between now and the end of my pregnancy.
