Wondering if any other toddlers day weaned first.

It seems like there are a lot of stories about moms night weaning first. To me that didn't seem natural. My daughter nurses to sleep. She is high needs, so I'm not willing to mess with our peace. She is now over 2.5, and seems to only nurse when she's tired. I've made the rule that if she wants to nurse than we need to go lay down, and she can take a nap. Since the two seem to go hand in hand. Am I the only one that seems to have a little one that is day weaning first before night time, and is ok with that?

I think that is actually very common with older nurslings.  I know that both DS & DD's last nursing to go were bed time ones.  Especially when you are talking about preschool aged children (or older) they often don't nurse during the day but will have a nurse right before bed or upon waking.

That is what is happening with us.  Ds2 straight out refuses to nurse in the day. He is a young toddler though, 16 months.  He is self-weaning because I am pregnant and he doesn't like the milk.

My DS day-weaned first as well. He gave up nursing during the day about the same time he gave up naps (2.5ish). He nursed before bed until he weaned completely (3.5).
