Car Seat Dilemma

Thread Starter

Hello moms (and dads)!!

I have a car seat question. We recently switched our boy from the infant car seat (Graco - which was awesome) to a Cosco Scenera Convertible seat because he seemed too big for the other one. We are doing rear-facing because he's only 8 months.

Does anyone have experience on this car seat or other convertible seats? It seems extremely loose - one reason is that our car is older so we don't have the latch strap option. It doesn't feel safe in my opinion....

Fyi - we are using this one because it was a gift, not sure I would have purchased it myself if I was shopping around and reading customer reviews.

Anyone have any thoughts??

Much appreciated!!

We used this one for a while. It's still the back-up in Daddy's car, but she's now in a Complete Air, which I think is way more comfy for her.

The Scenera is widely known as being a total pain in the ass to fit properly. Maybe x-post this in family safety- there are a lot of car seat experts there, and I'm sure there are a *ton* of threads about getting the Scenera to fit.

For most vehicles, you *must* put something like pool noodles (yeah, good luck buying them in winter) under the seat to keep it solid. Def. check out the family safety forum, and Google "loose fit Scenera" or whatever for ideas.

Good luck!
