Moderation of new members. How long?

Hiya. I've started an account and I have tried a couple of times to post to threads but I keep getting a message saying that I'm being moderated as a new member, one of my posts was submitted yesterday and still not viewable.  (1) how long will I be subject to moderation? (2) how long does it take for posts to be cleared?

New posts to this forum are moderated regardless of how long you are a member. Your other posts to other forums are displaying. :)

This is also happening to me a lot, without consistency - sometimes my posts go and sometimes not...

I noticed sometimes when I try to quote it will get held for moderation since I´m new... but I just had a comment held without any quoting. Very frustrating...

I was also wondering how long does it usually take for a new thread to be approved?

In the Q&S forum - usually 24-48 hours.

I'm suddenly having posts held for moderation, after my first 11 posts going through instantly . . . I was just responding to a thread I'd already started so I know it wasn't that I tried to post in a different forum. Very strange.

And now this post went through instantly! Lol.

ETA: Apparently I was also being troubled by quoting. I removed the quotes and my post went through. Computers always have hated me...

We have a pretty aggressive spam filter that sometimes tags certain things as spam and holds them in the queue. That could be what happened.
