I took my ds (he turns 3yp on 1/10) to Soft Touch Dentistry on K St NW, and they are AMAZING. No tears (even though ds gets very fearful around new people, and different things - his last dentist visit was terrible), no fussing, not even the tiniest amount. The assistant showed him all the different tools, let him hold the stuff they used to polish his teeth, let him play with the water squirter and suction, and then he was totally relaxed while they polished his teeth and flossed, and the dentist "counted" his teeth (checked for cavities).

If you need a dentist, I cannot recommend them enough. It's not a pediatric dentist, but they see children and are wonderful with them.
