I think my baby hates onions

I suspect that my baby is reacting to my breastmilk when I eat onions.  He gets grumpy and majorly gassy and vomits the curdles after I eat food with onions in it.  Right now I feel like it is a hunch/motherly instinct that this might be the problem.  Is there a good method to for me to test that this is really the cause of his tummy troubles?  I don't want to put DS through any more distress than need be.

The only way that I know of is to stop eating onions for a while (maybe a week). If the symptoms stop you then have the choice of reintroducing them to see if the symptoms return or leaving them out of your diet in the longer term. The good thing is that most babies outgrow their intolerances to foods via BM so you could reintroduce them in a few months and see how he goes then.

Thanks katelove, I was thinking that was what I need to do.  I had no idea how many foods have onions in them.  Good bye temporarily ranch dressing!

It's amazing what you discover when you have to start eliminating something isn't it? Hope you can work it out soon.
