The dress looks soooo cute!  Great work, mama!

What is everyone working on right now?  It has been c-c-c-cold here lately and hanging out indoors has gotten my creative juices flowing.

I finally found the pattern (knit) for an heirloom baby blanket in English that I've been adoring over for nearly a year.  This is what I'm working on http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/babysvbet---det-hele-kongerige

I have actually gotten started on making things for the baby.  Serged 45 flannel wipes and made two diaper covers.  Never made diapers before and just picked up supplies at JoAnne last week. The first one took forever but the second was much faster and I am going to use snaps instead of velcro.  Stitching through that stuff SUCKS!

Gonna try my hand at  some pockets and fitteds next.

I have made a snuggle blanket, and plan to knit some matching hats. I am 1/2 done knitting a cocoon and want to knit longies (1 pair) and matching socks for next winter as well. I am most excited to make a baby quilt... Planing to start that Friday!!!

Oooh, I am so envious.  How do you all find time to do these great projects?  I guess my projects are less touchable but still creative (like getting our school started).  I have a quilt for DD that I've been working on for over a year (and still haven't even started to piece together!).  I'm hoping that I can back off of my work and volunteer stuff early enough to finish the quilt and make a matching baby quilt for the new one.

But really, how do you all find the time?  I just can't seem to get to projects with all the laundry, cooking, organizing and cleaning that needs to happen around here.  I want to be a crafty mama too, I just don't seem to have it together enough to actually do much.

will be making this http://www.crazyhatlady.com/franticmamasoaker.pdf  i have 3 pairs of small longies from DD that i made (one she never even worn) so i wont be making any of those esp since i wasnt feeling the wool love although by the time she fit into it the weather was turning warm.

Priorities, MamaRuga.  Who says we cook and clean our houses?  twins.gif

But seriously, for me, it goes in spurts.  I usually had done project that I have been working on for a while (that's napkins, right now.  I've made 10 so far.  I've been working on this for about a year now) and then I get these sudden bursts of creativity where every nap time and night the kids are asleep I'm downstairs banging away on the sewing machine.  And then life gets in the way and I don't make anything for months.  So pick a project and work on it little by little and you will be crafty, too!

Yeah my house is not "tidy"  That's what nesting is for :P

Not sure how I fit it in.  My kids go to bed at about 7-7:30 and my hubby works evenings so I don't have anyone needing my attention after that :)

I finally got my serger set up!!! My Mom got it for me from a friend of hers who was downsizing years ago but I never got around to setting it up and figuring out how to use it. It's a really cool tool. I made 10 'everyday napkins' out of an old duvet cover and I think I'm getting the hang of it now. Corners are tricky but so worth it.

Nice machine!  It must save you time and make things easier all around :)

Cool!  I used a friends serger and it was lovely :) took me a bit to get the corners down but wow my wipes have a very nice finished look to them :)  I have to do WAY more sewing to justify a serger.

I have to get a serger!  I need some more cloth wipes, so it's been great to see others' pictures.

I've been working on a few knits: some wool pants, an owlie stuffed animal (still needs eyes), and some knit veggie chew toys.

I also made a couple of simple pouch slings out of cotton fabric which came out nice (used Amanda Blake Soule's "Handmade Home")

I'm still planning on knitting a couple of rompers, another pair of pants, a little sleep sack (http://www.ravelry.com/people/jfarwell/queue) and maybe some other sewing projects as well.  IMG_3796.JPG

Love that owl!  Pouch slings are great!  I *had* one that I love, loved, LOVED and somewhere between baby #2 and #3 I lost it :(  Yours looks so soft and cozy.
