google search of my user name brings up my posts in here!

is there any way to have more privacy here? especially being we are mostly women, mothers of children? i had someone recently tell me he googled my user name (which i also use other online sites frequently) and came across my daughters youtube videos. i will adjust those settings for privacy. but it also pulled up my posts on here. any way to shut off public eye to us on here unless they are members here?

I'm afraid anything you post on the public forums will turn up on Google's search results. You can change your username for more privacy. Just make sure your desired username is not already in use before you PM me with the request to change. :)

I wonder if, when folks join MDC, it'd be a good idea to make clear that this is an obvious risk of using a real name (or a screen/user name that you'd want to keep private) on a public forum.  Some moms just might not realize that is the case.  Just a thought.
