OMG!  It's real! 

As advised (Thank you, Desert!), I got the pink line First Response test and was amazed to see two CLEAR lines!!!!!  !!!!  !!!

Anna, I didn't post right away because I have been wandering around the apartment in a daze, asking myself, "is this for real?"  Thank you so much for crossing your fingers for me!  And I'm sorry to hear about the BFN; enjoy the sushi and the wine and here's to the next try being a positive experience and successful!

My sweet partner is pretty destroyed by the flu right now and has had a much more downplayed reaction than I had expected... But, as Anna says, "whatchagonnado?" Poor buddy's got a fever, a horrible cough and aches all over -- but is still very excited!

I had braced myself for a TTC process that would take a long time, possibly years, so I am still in a state of shock that it worked on our second try.  But, as my love bluntly stated from the sick bed, "Well, we put sperm in you when you were ovulating, so why are you surprised?"

I know, I know, SOOOOOOoooo romantic! ;)

lise -- wow, that's quite a quick return from such a big procedure.  (here you get hospitalized for 2-5(!!!) days for it.)  where did they find the endometriosis and do they think that might have been the problem? are you having any side effects from the gas they use?  i'm so excited that they were able to remove the polyps and get everything else "cleaned out", and i've heard a lot of stories about people getting pregnant very soon after a lap.  i hope that's exactly what happens for you.  rest and take good care of yourself.

rs11 -- you're nauseous because of the trigger shot?? wow, i didn't even know that could happen.  what's your dosage?  good luck with the insem tomorrow!  here's hoping that your future LO's or LOs' genetic material is getting ready to be thawed.

amt -- your answers to the QOTD made me laugh out loud.  giving birth to twins in a bathroom stall at walmart sounds like a nightmare version of Where the Heart Is. how's your DP doing these days, btw?  you've both been in my thoughts.

I'm sorry she's sick. Oh, if only it were always as easy as inseminating when we're ovulating... right?

 Attn all embryos...now this is order to stick and grow healthy. Your moms have worked so hard to get you here..They are so excited to meet you 

Lise: I hope you are recooperating comfortably now from your procedure, possibly sleeping soundly. I think RE found more polyps in my procedure too than was seen on the u/s. I so glad that those "darn golf balls" aren't taking up the baby's parking space anymore and that the endo tissue was removed too.

AFM: I really need to your feedback tonight. So here's the deal:

1) this is the first month that we will be using a KD and he is out of state. He reportedly got STD testing redone two weeks ago and of tonight he hasn't gotten back his results. Apparently the Health dept mails this kind of testing results in Oklahoma where he lives. DW and I were really planning to start this month, if we got the STD results and now we are left to rethink our plans. I'm guessing at this point he won't have the results back by Monday if he hasn't gotten them by now. So we insem w/o the most current STD testing (last results from July- all negative). We don't know him very well, but he is an AI donor for multiple lesbian couples right now and he is very adament that his tests will be negative again bc he only has sex with his wife. Earlier tonight after DW got off the phone with him, I was at first very annoyed and a little heart broken...I just really wanted those results back. Then I have started to think of the fact that there is no way I'm ever going to have 100% proof that he is disease free if he is only doing STD testing every six months and I'm using his sperm every month. I guess this is always somewhat of a gamble if you are using fresh sperm from a nonsexual partner. I don't know what to do....hmm. Any thoughts peoples??

2) So let's say I just go with it and insem this month regardless of the testing.....

Today is CD 11. I typically get my surge on CD 15 or 16, which would be Monday or Tuesday next week. Because this is fresh sperm would I want the swimmers in me before my surge or day of/or day after my surge which is typical for me. Thoughts again??

Thanks in advance for any contributions...I hate these ttc dilemmas..

Thanks so much, everyone! I teared right up reading all of your fantastic messages and seeing those parades!  It doesn't feel quite real yet, and I'm definitely going to be hanging out here for a while still, if that's okay.

Desert: I think it's either September 30 or October 1. I'm sure we'll get an official date from the clinic this week. Cr-azy!

Cananny: Swim, spermies, swim indeed!!!! I'm excited and hopeful for you guys!

Lise: Hope you're doing okay. Glad it all went well!!

Invitn: That's a tough call. Do you trust him? If you do then, to be honest, I'd probably go ahead with it.  He's married, and he donates to other lesbian couples, so he's probably pretty cautious.  And, you're right. You'll never have 100% proof if he's testing every 6 months.  If it was me in your situation, I'd go for it!! Let us know what you decide to do.  And good luck!

AFM - We're not telling anyone yet.  We're going to wait for confirmation from the clinic on Sunday before we tell close family.  However, I'm helping my sister move on Saturday, so last night DP and I decided to test again on Saturday morning, and if it's still positive, to tell my family the tentative news at the move.  There's no way of keeping stuff like that from them, 'cos they'll just see it on my face anyway, and they all know we're trying this month. FX that there's good news from the clinic.
