AmandaH ... I love you.  bow.gif

Wehrli ... I checked out the site.  Awesome!  Now just have to find a way to get one in Canada.  It'd be so fabulous for folk fests and such!  What do the kids sit on?  Is it lumpy under their bums?  Do you need to fold a few blankets in there?

Hey you all,

A question - Do any of you recall if your breast tenderness fluctuated at all when you were pregnant?  My breasts were SUPER sore and tender until recently, when it slowly started to fade.  I'm 13 weeks, and now they are not tender or sore at all.  Which feels great, but is making me a little nervous.  Hearing about your experiences/knowledge will help. Thanks so much in advance!

Also, I LOVE both the names Zeben and Sage.  I have never heard the name Zeben but I think it sounds magical and powerful.  The name Sage feels peaceful and earthy.  I also can't wait to see pics, when you have a chance!

And about Kentucky, I just can't believe that home birth is illegal!  That is just appalling to me!  I'm in favor of options, and if traveling outside of your state gives you more options, then I agree that it sounds worth considering for sure!

Sara, I had forgotten to tell you I'm so sorry about the scare you experienced, and I'm SO, SO glad that everything turned out okay!  That's a lot to go through.  Way to hang in there!  Wishing you the very best for the rest of your pregnancy.  :)

Take care!

it's actually not lumpy at all. it's not "cushy" per se but there's a bit of padding over the bottom board. we used a boppy to give DS something to lean back on but we didn't use anything on the bottom and he seemed just fine. this wagon would be fabulous for music festivals and such... we are going to be using it all summer at the ren fair! good luck finding a way to get one into Canada... does amazon not ship to there?

planet, my nipple/breast tenderness all but went away for the rest of the pregnancy compared to the first 12-14 weeks. I wouldn't worry! smile.gif

Thanks everyone for more well wishes. I'm feeling good, just a bit huge and uncomfortable, especially at night. I'm trying really hard not to stress and know that everything is fine. I till worry when I feel stuff, especially lower down by my unders. I'm trying to just stay calm. I know he is safe in there and just running out of room.

I'm hearing from some people I don't look big at all and other women are saying I totally look like I'm 8 months pregnant. I sure do feel 8 months pregnant and am excited that the baby can come as early as 4 weeks from now, or not for like 9 more. I'm just super excited.

I attended an "emergency birth" workshop today and that was pretty cool. Its nice to know we handled Shay's birth exactly how we were supposed to. The midwives there also told me not to worry about having him early and that I don't seem 'high risk' to them, even though the ob says I am now.

This afternoon our new local roller derby team threw a pizza and skate party, so we went. I'm going to start volunteering with them and then when I've recovered from birth I really want to join the team! I need some friends here and I think it'd be really really fun! I'm super excited about the prospect of it! Now, I just have to get used to those skates verses inline. I can do that, I'm sure, once theres no baby growing in me.

Ahope: You rock for helping your mom friend! I love your family portrait.

Wherli: Can I come play with S's new kitchen?! It looks awesome.

Qmama: Come visit ohio!

Library: How's spring break?!

Isa: Did you get your list finished?! I keep finding other things that I wanna do that aren't on mine. Last night we cleaned out or closet some and switched from winter to summer clothes. Then I went to the dollar store and bought storage tubs for all of our winter clothes. I feel like the closet looks soo much better, even though its closed all the time.

Starling: How's your first draft going?!

Yellow: How are those beautiful boys?!

Planet: I do believe my boobs have been sore on and off the whole pregnancy. I'm sorry I'm no help here. How are you feel other wise?!

Escher: How's that roly little dude doing?!

Sorry if I'm forgetting anyone.

March is almost over. Anyone interested in taking over the thread for the next 3 months?!

Hey everyone~ I'm not doing well keeping up, but that's Spring Break for you. Alice and I have had every moment together and it's been really lovely. I am not at all happy to be going back to work in a day or so, but at least I'll be able to catch up here!

I just wanted to also tell AHope she's AN AMAZING SUPERSTAR to help the poor mom and babe, and to tell OMOM that I second the vote for Zeben Sage.

Now Alice is asleep (for the moment...ugh....) and I think I'm going to lie down too xoxox

Sara--I know--you're going to be in my attic. smile.gif I figured that as long as we've got 4 adults and 3 babies (not to mention 2 dachshunds) it counts as a party, so I don't have to do my usual freaking out that no one will come to my party and can just hope that everyone else is free that afternoon!

Sara - I would be glad to take the thread, if no one else has their heart set on it.

Isa: We'll be there!  Can't wait to meet those three babes (ok, yes, I can wait--no need to rush, little ones).

Wehrli: We'll definitely come see you again this year at the RF.  Can you come down for pride?

Thanks for the encouragement with the pumping/donating, all.

Planet: Mine got less sore around 14-16 weeks.  I would try not to worry (easier said than done).  I had a freakout around 16 weeks when I started feeling fewer symptoms and when the bit of movement I had felt got less distinct for a while.  But everything was fine.

AFU: Lilah turned 8 months yesterday!  She celebrated by napping for 1.5 hours in the stroller while we took a beautiful long walk in a local nature preserve.  The dog wishes she would have monthly birthdays requiring long walks every day.  She isn't showing any real interest in crawling, but she has cut two teeth!  My mom was just here and did lots of closet and clothing reorganizing for us.  So nice!  She froze a bunch of meals, too, and bought Z an incredible bike for her upcoming birthday.  Oh--and she bought L a baby swing and built an extension for our zip line platform to mount it on.  And she got Lilah to nap in the crib twice with very little fussing (which she won't do for me).  All without conflict.  I really need my mom to visit more often, apparently, though she is crazy busy caring for my grandparents and nieces and enjoying her own life.  I'm thrilled about the wonderful person we hired to nanny for Lilah, but she won't start for two weeks, and my in-laws are out of town (actually, they took Z to Puerto Rico to visit family during Z's spring break--lucky girl!).  So we're on our own this week--sigh--not envisioning tons of work getting done...again.  I really miss Z.  The house is so quiet without her, and we lose our routines when it really doesn't matter what time we eat dinner, etc.  She is so energetic!  This is a good reminder to treasure my time with Z more.  I get frustrated with her easily, but her remaining years at home (especially the few years before she hits teenager-hood) are getting fewer all the time.

My vote is for Sage! My youngest niece's middle name is Saige. Zeben is cute too though.

Isa- We would love to be part of that party!!???

Wait when is pride weekend in Chicago? We would like to come, we could carpool with Sara and Sara, could you imagine THAT roadtrip?

Ahope—wow, what a great spring break! And I can imagine it being kind of lonely without her there. Glad your mom works such wonders, too! Mine is all in a tizzy about possible babysitting, and I am doing nothing but encouraging her.

Mizyellow-- smile.gif Pride is June 23-24, and you’re more than welcome to come! I don’t think we’ve got enough space for you in the house, alas, but we do have a yard if you felt like camping… Like I said, I’ll do some actual planning once I’m on mat. leave (and after I do my super-obsessive Florida trip plotting. I wish I could have been a travel agent, I love it so).

AFM—still sick, and spent last night not sleeping, which is no fun, either. On the up side, I did manage to make a baby cocoon, which I’m pretty excited about. Big needles really make knitting go faster! And then, Starling, I had dreams all night (in between the not-sleeping) featuring you and H. I think because I was thinking about those awesome rainbow booties you first showed him in when he was born, because we kept talking about yarn…

Planet, my breasts hurt the most in the first trimester. Are you feeling any other reassuring symptoms?

OMOM, have you decided on a name yet?

Isa, show off the cocoon!

Library, sorry spring break is over.

AmandaHope, yay for a good visit and all that came with it.

Yellow, we could caravan! If we wind up with an 8 seater we could all ride together, unless someone stays home. Haha, if we caravaned, we could switch around who rides with who so long as we never had one adult and 3 babies!

Life over here is good. I think we're getting sick but we're not there yet so I'm happy. I'm hoping to do some cooking and whatnot today. I can be all domestic-y. The weather turned cool again but our windows are still open and I'm dressed like its summer. Brrr.

Yellow: You can stay with us!  We're an hour outside of the city, but you could stay with us and drive in.  We have a guest room and also a pull-out couch in the family room, and air mattresses.  We'd LOVE to meet you and your beautiful family.

Isa: Ooh--pics of the baby cocoon, please.  What a great idea. Love knitting with big needles... Hope you feel better and get some rest!

Isa, are you having a party at your house or are we doing what we did last year when we all met at the place where the drag show was and hung out and then go win free stuff/junk again?! Either sound great and fun, just wondering which fun will be had!

Seraf, thanks for the referral to the DDC!  I am now a member and hope to chime in on the sleep topics soon.

DesertSunsets, what an awesome belly pic of your DW!  I like the dress too.  :D

Prettyisa, hope your sinus infection clears up fast!

Gumshoegirl, how did the 1st bday party go?  Would love to see pics!

Wehrli, that is an AMAZING play kitchen, and your kid looks so cute in his Baby Legs!

AmandaHope, I'm joining the crowd saying how wonderful it is for you to donate your milk.

Planet, my breasts were also a LOT more tender in the first trimester than in the second and third.  If you're still concerned, and you're seeing a midwife, you could always give her a quick call to see what she thinks...

Sounds like there are a lot of you in and around Chicago!  Not sure if I'll make it to any of the NJ or NY pride events this year, but here's hoping.

As for us, Annamaria rolled from her stomach to her back this weekend!  Very exciting (well, her parents and her grandma were excited, anyway.)

Rainbow, you're so beautiful! I love the wedding pictures and the ultrasound picture.  I have been wondering how you are doing, I'm so glad for the update.  Congratulations on the wedding.  Washington recognizes your marriage, yeah?  Yay for a girl!  They certainly make you learn a lot more.
