Nursing Mamas TTC-- January - Page 6

Mittens!!! So happy for you!!! How wonderful joy.gif

Carmen- My fingers are crossed for your test tomorrow!

Wp- I still take my normal prenatal, fro breastfeeding and since we're TTC. Just the normal daily dose though.

Lawmama- So sorry to hear about your DS weaning. greensad.gif I suppose that would be good and bad news IMO. It will be very nice to have my body back and my space more to myself. But mostly, I'm with you on the tears and sadness. Nursing is such a precious thing and I will miss that closeness so very much when my DS weans.

Ava'sMama- I think letting your daughter nurse when your milk returns sounds fine!

AFM- I was kinda excited I get to use my cloth pads and Diva Cup again since AF showed up yesterday. They make AF seem better! And even though I'm just on day 2 of AF, I sat down and calculated that I'll be able to POAS again by the 10th of February. I'll know by Valentine's Day next time! I like to set little goals for myself. orngbiggrin.gif

Hope everyone had a good day today!

lawmama:  I'm sorry about the weaning! It's definitely hard. hug2.gif

Sere: i always try not to think that far ahead. I always worry that if i do i will just be heartbroken we AF arrives again.. like even now, i don't know when my 1st trimester ends because i am too nervous to find out! haha

Ava's Mama:I'm glad that your beta came back good and no i don't think it's weird at all. Why not?

Kelantan, we should talk because i had terrible insomnia for the first 2 trimesters with DD. i am petrified that is going to happen again!! and restless legs syndrome, which for me was the instigator of my insomnia. did you have insomnia with your first/others? Also, we had a home birth with DD and it was amazing. We hope to have another with this one, (and i am 40! almost 38 with DD) hopefully we can swing a water birth this time, though my labour was quick last time and they say they get quicker with each child. I so hope you get to have your home birth!!!! what a beautiful experience!!!!

Ava's Mama, great to hear such positive news on your betas!

Sere, i do the same thing! With this cycle i knew i would find out on DD's birthday! Here's hoping Valentine's day is your day!

LawMama, the whole weaning thing is such a mixed bag of emotions i find, and DD hasn't even started to wean yet. But it's coming and i look forward to it but i know i'm going to be devastated at the same time!!! My friends all assure me that our little ones still want to cuddle with us even after they wean!

AFM, thank you all for the congrats on my bfp! i got another one today, still faint but definitely darker than yesterday, and a temp rise. i usually get AF 13 dpo which is today, (along with a lower temp) but i'm starting to have pregnancy symptoms so i can't imagine she'll rear her ugly head. I have a requisition to pick up at the doctor to have a beta today.

I can't believe how many bfp's there are this month! congrats to you all! i look forward to finding out that more of our group is getting bfps!! BABY DUST!!!

14DPO! The "pregnant" part came up before I even stopped peeing! And then the 2-3 weeks soon after...I hope that means my hcg is higher this time. I'm going to try and get in for a beta this afternoon.

Carmen!!!!!! joy.gifjumpers.gifjoy.gif I don't know what it going on, but all these  BFPs are so exciting! Congrats!!!!! Stick baby stick!

Mittens: Oh yes. Insomnia. I used to struggle with it when i was younger, but i have been tired enough as a momma that it hasn't been so bad. Til now. But yes, i did have it in the beginning and the end of each of my pregnancies. It seems to ease a bit in the middle. To make it worse, my husband is having serious back problems so he can't sleep. I was up from 1 o'clock last night. and i'm tired. Now to take care of two kids haha I hope you don't get it this time around!! And thank you for the beautiful words about homebirth. I come from a VERY medical family (mom a nurse, sister a doctor) and they might kill me, but i really want it. I have some fear, but beautiful stories are the best thing in the world!

I'm just super excited for all of the BFPs and i hope this gives hope even to the ones without! You CAN get pregnant! yaya!

joy.gifCongratulations Carmen and Mittens! joy.gifLove all these BFP!

Carmen- CONGRATS!!!!joy.gif So happy for you!

Mittens- Oh man, I'm not looking forward to the restless legs when I DO get pregnant again. I get them in everyday life pretty mildly but pregnancy? Whoa baby, it gets bad!!! And then I can't sleep because of it. greensad.gif I sure hope you don't have to deal with it this time around!

What did you do last time for prevention? I took (and still take) 4 of these Cal/Mag/Citrate everyday and used Natural Calm as well, though the NC didn't seem to help much and was icky. Right now I'm taking iron supplements which I've heard help. Folic acid also seems to help some people but being pregnant, I'm sure you've got that covered in your prenatal vitamin!

Hoping for an insomnia free pregnancy for you and Kelantan!

Thank all of you for the support and understanding hug2.gif It is definitely an emotional time for me....guess I just need to have another little nursling wink1.gif The next 6 months can't pass fast enough!!!

Carmen--joy.gif joy.gif Awesome!!! I am so happy for you!!!

Wow, January is a very good month for our group!!!!  Who is next up to POAS? I wonder if we will have any more this month!!!

Yah Carmen!!  Keep us posted on your HCG screen!  I go for my follow up in 2 hours, so I will know more tomorrow around this time!

Yay Carmen!

lawmama:  sorry to hear you're having a tough time with the weaning.  I know it's going to be very hard on me too when that day comes for my DD and I.

I hope some of the BFP dust comes off on me this cycle!!!

Congrats Carmen!!! joy.gif Have I've been out of the TTC loop for too long? What does the 2-3 weeks mean on the test??

Kelantan: I also had insomnia pretty bad for the first few weeks with DS2.  I wasnt sure if it was pregnancy related or if I was just so darn excited to be pregnant.  Either way it makes it hard to get through the day. Hoping you get better rest tonight!

AFM: I really REALLY want to give it a try for an October baby.  I'm not 100% sure if we will try, though...  I haven't been charting because my sleep is just disturbed too much nursing DS2 to even bother... I am going to go out and get my OPK's either today or tomorrow. I'm so darn excited!! Hopefully, everything will go smoothly and I can get DH on board.  We have some fertility issues and can only conceive with IUI, and costing about $1000/try, I need to make darn well sure I am ovulating and having a long enough luteal phase. Soooo, I will keep you updated.  I expect to ovulate the 20 or 21st but my last cycle was only 29 days (I'm normally a 31-32 day girl), so maybe the supplements my naturopath has me on (one is P5P a type of B6) is helping my fertility and making me ovulate sooner ??

So excited for all the BFP's here!!

Whoa!!! Does that test tell you about how far along you are based on amount of HCG in pee?? I've never seen that but if so....very cool!!

Thanks, everyone! I won't feel at all secure about things until I have at least 2 good betas (going this afternoon). But I do feel happy :)

Yes, (in Canada) the digital tests guess how many weeks past conception you are based on hcg levels....fancy huh?? When I miscarried in June the test (at around the same time) said 1-2 weeks so I hope that means my hcg keeps going higher and higher!

Wow! I want some of those.

icy: Maybe you can order then online? Not sure if they'll ship to the states but they are very common here.

Ava's Mama: Crossing my fingers for a doubled beta number!

Afm: I got my first beta back already...251 @ 14DPO. That's more than double what it was when I m/c in June at around the same time. I go in on Friday for the second one...crossing my fingers for me as well.

Carmen!!! Oh my gosh! The last time i was here i said i can't wait to hear about more bfps and then you posted next that you got your bfp!!! I am thrilled for you! I saw that you got a great first beta result too. Congrats!!!

Congrats to Amydiane too!!! (i somehow missed your bfp post!)

JJ1107, you're next! Baby Dust!!

icy, all the best for an October baby if you do decide to ttc next cycle!

Sere, thanks for sharing what you take for restless legs! I will definitely get me somma that. restless legs is the worst! nobody quite understands until they experience it. the worst part i found was that i was so extremely sleepy, but couldn't sleep because of the sensation in my legs! it was like torture, honestly.

Kelantan, oh man, you have got it hard with your husband also suffering plus 2 kids to chase after on top of your own insomnia. i hope it doesn't last!!

AFM got my first beta back, 67 for 12 or 13 dpo. It was 47 on 13dpo for my DD so i think it's a great number! Going back today for a follow up.  SO happy and still so shocked!!

Hey everyone - I got my second beta back and it was 2300, so it more than doubled in 48 hours.  So now I wait for 4 weeks or so until we can hear a heart beat.  So happy this thread has had such good luck!
