You're welcome!  Glad it was helpful!  There are, of course, more diapers out on the market now than the major ones I demoed, but those are still good staples to begin your stash with.

Jaimee, I'd like to thank you for showing me those tutorials. I would still be confused as heck about cloth diapering and probably be spending a fortune on disposables if you hadn't broken down the basics in those videos and showed them to me.

Is anyone else having trouble with the Groups home page where you can see all the threads?  When I go to the home page, it tells me that there are no threads.  The rest of the page is there, including the introduction, members, etc, but all the threads are missing.  I was able to access this thread by going into my subscriptions, but that's annoying!

Today is my first day on my own with all three kids.  My DH left this morning at 4am and won't be home until late Friday night.  Basically I'm on my own for three full days!  I did manage to milk my goat this morning with the baby in a carrier, so at least I know I can still handle my chores.  Another one of our goats is due to have babies any day now, which is likely to happen while my DH is away.  Luckily, my best friend said that she'd come over and help me if the goat goes into labor.  So far she's not showing any signs, so it'll still be at least 24 hours.  We don't know her exact due-date (I was told Jan. 1st) because she was bred and then changed owners twice since then.  I have confirmed her pregnancy and can feel a baby moving in her belly, so it will be soon.  This is the goat that was paralyzed and blind last week from goat polio, so we're glad that her baby(ies) made it.

Little Coralie seems to be getting a cold.  Her normal congestion has turned into runny snot and my 8yo woke up today super congested.  Hopefully it doesn't turn into anymore more than a runny nose...

I'm having trouble with it as well, Abra. My older two are sick. Michael's had a cold for 2 days now, and Casey woke up with a fever. I'm assuming she caught Michael's cold.

Abra- your my favorite person today for milking your goat while wearing your baby thumb.gif  Have you had goats that kidded before?  We have several sets of goat births, and we actually found that the does will birth easier with no assistance, in their own pen.  We always kept an eye on them, though.  So try not to worry if you cant be present the whole time, chances are she will be fine and you will have a happy doe and kid(s) after.

I am having the same problem with the main page too.

Thanks.  I'm doing what I've got to do.  :)  I have good support from my friends, so I'm sure I can manage.

Yes, this will be be our third kidding.  The first 2 went off perfectly, we actually completely missed the second one (we were out of town, I miss calculated her due-date, oooops!), so I know that most of the time they don't need help.  However, it's still recommended to be there, 'just in case', especially since this is her first birth..  My best friend is on call to help, even if it's in the middle of the night.

How do we fix the home page issue?

Becky- glad you found them helpful too!  love.gif

Everyone: I'll PM Cynthia and see what's up with the discussion page... I'm seeing the same thing that you all are.  For now, the easiest way to access the threads is to go to your profile page and click on the thread links there.

AFM: I've been having a rough go of it.  The nausea left me totally incapacitated for an entire day (I couldn't even walk I was so dizzy), the second day I was up for a little while, but only half functional and today I'm up, but still feeling nauseous and having (TMI) way too many trips to the bathroom.  This sucks!  Since we had to give ds some zofran the other day, I took a few of his and that does help, but I'm wondering if this will simply take 5 days to pass through like it did for ds.  Dd seems to be over her cold, but her cough is lingering as usual.  And now the baby is a bit congested.  Sigh...  My parents are here and hopefully that will be helpful, but I feel badly I'm not 100%.  On the positive side, ds turned 2 yesterday!  I can't believe it!

Jaimee, he did have a bug then?  At least now you know what it was.

Abra, wow.  I felt like my 2 weeks alone was ok, but I didn't have chores like yours.

Home today.  Thinking about making something really yummy for dinner.

Sara- Still so hard to say b/c mine is not manifesting like his did- no throwing up- just constant nausea and now the diarrhea.  He didn't have diarrhea either.  But I know that different people can react differently to the same germ, so maybe.  Or maybe this is my body simply shutting down from all the stress, anxiety, and sleep deprivation of the past week.

Cynthia already got back to me and she is looking into it.

Yeah, different bodies are so different. In our house DP and DS will throw up, DD will get the runs and I'll burp and be done with it.

I wish my body were so resilient!  But, ladies, I've got the answer to getting rid of that pregnancy weight!  Just get an intestinal bug, stop eating, keep breastfeeding, and voila!  8 pounds lost in 2 days.  eyesroll.gif

Hi everyone! I feel like I haven't been on here in sooooo long. I miss it! It seems like getting online is one thing I just have not managed to master post-baby. My laptop is huge and really tough for me to balance while nursing. Posting on my phone (like I'm doing now!) is sucky. Sigh. I'm supposed to start back to grad school online next Monday, but I think I'm going to drop my course. No clue how I'll be able to manage when I can't even manage to open my computer!!

Anyway, wanted to share with people who'd understand my pain: got my period today at 7 weeks, 5 days pp. Seriously. I guess my body thinks its ready to start making babies again! Ha!

Aw! I'm sorry. I hope you guys get better! I stopped making milk for a whole week when I got sick with an intestinal bug when I was nursing DD.

When I had a GI bug in pregnancy DS threw up only, I threw up and had the big D, and DH had the big D only.  Weird!   Get better soon!!

Hey ladies. I went back to work this week. I was a little teary about it the night before, really not looking forward to it. But it actually went pretty well. The girls had a great day with my MIL and I really did enjoy seeing my students again. It was my first day back and their first day back from Christmas break, so everyone was a little wild but that was alright. They kept me busy enough that I didn't have time to miss my babies too much. I was able to go pump twice and only got about 7.5 oz total. Not sure why, I usually get more than that. I'm hoping it was just the stress of my first day back...

I was supposed to be at work today too, but they canceled school today. Apparently about a third of the kids were out with the stomach flu yesterday and more were being sent home with it, so they called school off for today. So glad I don't work on Thursdays. DH just got over bronchitis, we so don't need the stomach flu making the rounds through this house!

Abra - do you have another baby yet? How exciting!

Amanda - that sucks. I am hoping my period stays away for as long as it did with Kieran (13 months).

Jaimee - I just noticed Ailia's birthdate is incorrect om the first post - she is a Thanksgiving (11/24) baby smile.gif

I just finished a week with no social media or forums, I feel like I missed a bunch! And for the record, it was awful.

I am going on my first post-new-baby date today! The older two will go over to my friends house but we are taking Enoch with us. Hopefully he'll sleep through the movie!

Still trying to find a routine with three kids and homeshooling one. I feel like a failure at this most days.. if I manage to do ANY school in a day I feel lucky. Plus keeping up with the housework... *sugh* I would LOVE a maid, a cook, and a mother's helper!
