10-15 Minute Cleaning Sessions (New Thread) - Page 54

trick or treat-ing is being rescheduled for us

it's been raining solid since the morning !!!

 

at least we went to the library and met a friend there this am

am now having drying racks in various rooms since i cannot use the balcony ...

 

about to re-pot another 3 plants for outdoor ... but not sure i'll have enough potting soil ....

 

made two healthy eating veggie dishes for me (today and tomorrow)

about to start pumpkin soup for the rest of the family (i prefer green soup with spinash, it's good for my gut .... nobody else wants any unfortunately

so i have to make two different soups if i want to eat what i really like ...)

 

hopefully tomorrow will be dry and warmer & i can start the children on their mission to help me clean all the windows ...

Good Morning. I'm feeling pretty good. DD declared yesterday, "The best Halloween ever!" We had a great time trick or treating w/good friends and they got a ton of candy. smile.gif
So far today I:
*made breakfast and coffee
*got DD off to school
*made a list
*took out the trash
*made the bed
*wiped down the bathroom
*made lunch and did cleanup
*straightened up
*colored my hair loveeyes.gif
*sorted lots, emptied a basket and washed 2 loads of laundry
*decluttered DD's room coolshine.gif It's so pretty.
*walked jog.gif
*made dinner and did cleanup

this morning i "forced" everyone to clean and tidy up

since we had some friends coming over early afternoon

(i now have even more bags of random stuff that i need to sort out LOL)

 

the large kitchen windows have been cleaned too ....

the dining room table was totally cleared ... so that we could take out games to play

floors vaccumed & mopped

 

it was unexpectedly decided late afternoon to stop by an indian take away place

...so i was able to serve my left over meatloaf from last night for those of us who didn't want to eat "exotic"

(my friends like it, i made it several times in the past when they were visiting because it's easy and there's enough for 6 kids and a few adults too  - i had made some yesterday ... "just in case" ....)

& all  6 children were happy to eat together - we don't get to meet often these days

 

have just spent 40 minutes leasurly doing the washing up so everything is neat and tidy for when DH has breasfast before work tomorrow ...

I need to get myself to do things today, I took the last two days "off"..

 

Im breaking things down into lists of 10 so its not so overwhelming. I made 1 big "weekend to do" list so I don't have to think of what to do the next few days:

 

First group:

Do dishes

wipe down counters

make bread dough

sweep kitchen floor

make cinnamon rolls

wash baking dishes

rotate laundry

Hem b-day dress

cut out bday skirt

sew birthday skirt

yes, it was a nice day !

 

now, today is not so easy ... all of us are tired and DD2 is having loads of tantrums

 

(+ l left DS holding the plastic bag with the one dish from the same take away that i went to get this am,

whilst DD1 and I used the restroom at the library ...

fatal mistake, DD2 and DS kicked each other for some reason

and of course most of the liquid from the dish escaped the container ....

i should have taken the bag with me in the restroom in fact ...)

 

on the bright side => i managed all or my errands in town with the children in tow, who would have prefered to spend all morning in the park

 

but now, we are all tired and unhappy

DD1 and DS need to complete some homework

DD2 needs to play by herself

 

at least i managed to serve an OK mean, clean up the kitchen, remember to defrost meat for spaghetti bolognese for tonight

and start a load of laundry

+ coordinate with DH for the errands we'll be running tomorrow afternoon ...

 

i think snack time is going to happen in a local park for 30 minutes ....

my brain is so foggy that i don't think i can manage making up my mind to a "to do list" today ....

Today so far I:
-walked again jog.gif

-got DD off to school
-rinsed the dishes and cleaned the counters
-took out the trash
-visited our neighbor's new baby smile.gif
-made dinner and did cleanup
-went to the drugstore
-washed 3 loads of clothes

- managed a second load of laundry

- cut DS's hair

- cut DH's hair

- walked DS to martial art class ( it's "extra//free" during the school holidays, 7:30 pm till 9:00 pm)

am so glad he's willing to go

he was 3 years not wanting to do any class of any sort ...

 

so the day is ending on a better note (was struggling this afternoon, am too noise sensitive these days ...)

Good Morning. I took DD to the zoo yesterday and my feet can feel it today. It was a wonderful time. smile.gif I'm going to take it easy today.

-got DD off to school
-rinsed the dishes and cleaned the counters
-made the bed
-cleaned the litter box

-cleaned the front bathroom. Nice.
-went to an appointment
-went to the library
-picked up milk and toilet paper
-washed DD's hair

Hello ....

yesterday we went olive picking (a first for us) to help out some friends ... the kids had a great time & especially when i mentionned that they were much faster than me for filling up their baskets. We stayed much longer than expected (with a picnic) & then there was no buses so we were stuck for a while in the dark alongside an unlit country road & were given a lift to somewhere we could get a bus from ....=> no time for doing much around the flat, it looked bad, bad (only managed one load of laundry put up)

 

today, not such a good start, had a headache (had not drunk enough water yesterday)

- got blood drawn for some tests

- prepared lunch on a timeline & it worked (yeah !)

- did quite a few "small jobs" around the flat

- cut hand and toe nails for all 3 kids (2 kids really really overdue for their feet, that was embarassing ...)

- managed to get to a dance class, taking one of the children with me so that they wouldn't fight ...

- battled with 2 kids so that they carry on a bit with homework due next week

- have rented a video so that i can have a 30 minutes nap before starting dinner

Ive been slacking majorly over here redface.gif Not really, just been busy with the children. Got to get a few things done today..

Hoping to get done:
-laundry.. a ton- done two loads so far
- finish cleaning my room, need to vacuum and move the laundry to the kitchen
- girls room, need to pick up the stuffed animals and vacuum
- playroom, pick up the toys and vacuum
- vacuum the hall
- pick up the living room and vacuum
- dishes
- wipe down sink
- go through fabric in bedroom
- get hubby to pull down fabric buckets from the attic
-get DH to put things in the attic that needs to be put up there

Im not even going to think Ill do more than that because Ill be surprised if that gets done. Heres to hoping I get something done at least.. Its starting to get dangerous to walk across my house innocent.gif

eta: Just realized Im ALMOST DONE with what I had planned to do today joy.gif Im going to finish up with the fabric after the break, do school time with the kids and spend time knitting/playing with the children for the rest of the day

done with the fabric and rotated/folded and put away a load of laundry. Finished school as well. Now Im going to take another break orngbiggrin.gif

enter daily competitions

dust son's room

dust window sills

declutter

plan dinner

yes, olive picking was fun, i didn't think of taking photos during the day

 

but i also picked 1.8kg of black olives to cure at home (in coarse salt for 10 to 15 days)

and took photos of the process

(it was explained to me that to prick the olives with a fork would make too big holes => the olives would fall apart,

so i "made" my own tool using tacking needles from my sewing box

and pricked both side of each olive .... took me one hour !!!)

am on my 3rd load of laundry

changed the sheed of one double bed

 

we are going to have our afternoon snack outside and walk to town for some errands

am very tired (in spite of having slept 12 hours last night, was so spent ...) so find it not easy to keep the children busy during the holidays

whilst keeping the noise level down ( = what bugs me most, i don't care so much all toys and bits and paper on the floor, but a little noise ....

when i'm tired i cannot cope very will with it !)
