10-15 Minute Cleaning Sessions (New Thread) - Page 55

i can't believe my hair seen from the top ....this time last year i was having chemo, bald and wearing a wig

AND i NEVER had curls in 48 years ....

these curls ARE "natural" ... the color is not, i experimented a bit in the spring

... had electric blue hair for two weeks but the color was washing out at every shampoo,

i only liked it "VERY" blue/bold/striking blue so i reverted to something a little bit more "normal"

... after DD1 complained to me that someone at school, not even from her class

asked her if it was her mom who had blue hair (we must have been seen walking in town during the spring school holiday ..)

Hi IsaFrench, I was admiring your curls in the pic. Very nice.

My hair has been falling out lately! I don't know what's going on, but it's not a good feeling. I'm going to start going to the hairdresser. I think the root touch up I was using is totally thinning my hair! hopmad.gif
So far today I:
-made breakfast and coffee
-got DD off to school
-went to the grocery store thumb.gif
-washed a load of sheets
-took a long rest sleeping.gif
-mailed a birthday card and returned books to the library
-made dinner
-walked jog.gif

I hope to:
-apply for some jobs
-clean out the fridge
-change the sheets
-vacuum and spot clean

Isa- I love the curls!

Yesterday I just relaxed.. Woke up to a case of mastisis (get it at least a couple times each baby) so I spent the day in bed reading to the children and knitting.. Feeling a bit better today but still tired.. Also, its my birthday so today is going to be a light day.. Not sure what Ill be doing.

IsaFrench:  I was in the same boat last year...chemo, bald and wearing a wig.  Your hair looks like it's growing faster than mine though.  Mine is also coming back very curly and pretty much the same color as before (maybe just a little lighter).  Glad you are doing okay.

I'd like to join this thread if you all don't mind.  You guys are giving me such motivation.  My only problem is that I work at the local school everyday, so I don't have much time to get things done during the day, and by the time I get home, I'm whooped.

I did get up earlier than usual this morning was able to:

Fold and put up a few clothes

Put another load in the washer

Took my shower and got ready for work

Got DS up and ready for school

Made my coffee and had a bowl of cereal (Don't usually get up in enough time to eat anything)

Put together some items for lunch to take to work.

Tonight I am hoping to:

Make a dessert for a local fundraiser benefit for tomorrow

Practice playing music with the family

Make supper

and any other random picking up and straightening that I can do

This time of year seems to be busier for us than almost any other.  I guess I'll just try to do what I can do and not worry about the rest.  (easier said than done)  Sheepish.gif

Good morning!  It's been a very busy weekend so housework was hit and miss.

Saturday had to:

Take DS (12) to class at local college.

Got groceries while out.

Went home and had to get ready for benefit meal and auction.

Played music at said benefit, and stayed to help clean up afterward.

Sunday:

Church  a.m.

Afternoon Bible study

Church  p.m.

Came home and with DH's help:

Swept LR, BR, Kitchen, put away dishes, folded clothes and put away (most).

Today (after work) I hope to:

Clean BR (dust, straighten, change sheets, make bed, etc.)

Make supper (actually already in the slow cooker)

Maybe clean bathroom...we'll see.

Yesterday was DD2's birthday and we had a blast.. went to the aquarium to visit the sea turtles (somewhat disappointed since they only had babies, no adults but at least they had some) and then to Chuck E Cheeses for dinner. Came home to my annual "its not a birthday present, I just got it because you needed it" present, why do I trust him that he isn't getting me something? This has happened every year since we got together and we celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary this year.. So today I need to:

- quick clean the messy house: kitchen, living room, hall, bedrooms, bathrooms
- vacuum the house
- work on Christmas presents
- upload birthday pictures
-organize freezer/fridge
- meal plan
-food shopping list
-play with my un-present (yes, Im making up words today Sheepish.gif)

My house is a PIT !!!   Ugh.   I'm at work, so I can't get anything done during the day, and by the time we get home and I make supper and clean it up,  I am spent.  Tonight will be no different.  We have to go somewhere after work, and then we go to church so by the time we get home tonight, it will be no better.  DH helps a lot, but he is worn out too, especially with frustrating changes being made in the school systems in our state.  I guess I'm just going to have to learn to live with it and only do what I feel like doing.  splat.gif

When I feel like that I lower my expectations and do the bare minimum. It's impossible to do it all unless you hire out.
