which field is that ?

hope it works out for you with the subbing !!!

this morning i had to quickly put away the baseball caps (should have done so a month ago or so !!!!)

in order to make space for hats and gloves

it's now 1°C over here in the morning & i had to "force" DD1 and DS to take a hat (ear muffs for DD1 actually) and gloves to walk to the bus stop

+ DD1 wanted to leave with a flimsy coton zip up top (that's too small & she's had it for two years & refuses to wear something else

am tempted to "make it disapear" but i worry she'll have a fit ... we are all a "little fragile" these days ... suppose it's a comfort item to her ...)

so i had to battle so that she would put on a warmer jacket this morning ...

i have some stains to scrub out of some trousers and tops

(one day when i walked home eating a kebab ... didn't notice that the plastic wrap had slid sideways & arrived home with greasy sauce all over my jacket -that came out in the wash - but also all the length of the front of my favorite pair of trousers... that only came out partially & didn't notice until i wore them again ...)

before i start a load of laundry so should get away from the computer for now ....

ok, wrapped the cookies for the fundraiser

dropped DD2 to school & chatted with fellow parent

went to the market (got bold, we are getting fresh "in shape" fish tonight, not rectangular frozen breaded kind, chatted with the fishmonger as he skinned it ... !!!)

 sanitized the toilet

prepared snack for late morning

still need to put the one load up to dry, i think it just finished

and then off to some errand in town & meeting up with a friend afterwards....

Last night I only got a couple of things done:

Make sure grandmother eats supper

Would like to get started decorating my Christmas tree

Would like to get some clothes folded

Read reading.gif

We ended up just practicing music for a short while and then sat down as a family and watched "A Christmas Carol" (the Jim Carrey version) together.  It was a great, relaxing evening.

Not sure what will get done tonight, if anything.  We may go play music at a local place that has musicians every Friday night.

Tomorrow I should be able to get some stuff done.  fingersx.gif

Hi IsaFrench, I'm a clinical psychologist. I'm looking for postdoctoral work, and the market is really tight right now. So, I'm just going to be patient and sub for awhile. I'm so looking forward to earning a paycheck again. It's been too long.

Enjoy your cold weather. We're in Texas and it's gonna be near 80 degrees F today. I'm still nursing this cold/flu and I'm kinda miserable.
So far I:
-picked up lots of fruit and fresh flowers
-got DD off to school
-stacked the dishes to deal with later
-put out the trash and opened the windows
-had lunch

I hope to:
-take it easy and read reading.gif
-walk a little

so ... is it true that bugs don't die if it's not cold enough in winter ? are there more bugs of all kinds in Texas than in states more nothern with much colder winters ?

+ what kind of students would you have then ?

the fundraiser .... is Saturday NEXT week in fact ...

in the end, i took some of the bagged cookies to the tabacco and sweet shop that's near middle school ... the owner eventually decided which were the winning entries for the halloween monsters drawing competition ... as he put up his nativity scene in his shop window this morning (LOL you can see that halloween is an aquired concept around these parts ....)

DD1 was 3rd prize, DD2 got "prix jeune espoir" (and there was a 5th prize labelled "prix du jury" ... as in the Cannes film festival ....)

they both got a largish baggie with quite a few things in each(and not only sweets either)

so i thought it would be "right" to give that man some of our home made cookies when i accompanied DD2 to claim her prize

.... me too, i stacked the dishes to deal with later !!!!

(had a friend at college who used to say "une vaisselle bien rangée est déjà à moitié faite !")

have even managed, eventually, to more or less train everyone to stack it the way it upsets me less; plates vertical to the right of the sink, glasses in the middle and cutlery on the left ... I DO find it easier to process if it is nicely sorted to start with, i cannot work out if it's me who's overtly OCD or if it's just common sense to do it that way ....

What does this mean Isa? "une vaisselle bien rangée est déjà à moitié faite !" I also stack them nice with glasses on the left. lol.gif

it means ... stacking it all up nicely prior to washing up is half the job done already

(& it implies that it's not so bad walking away from it instead of tackling it straight away ...)

nod.gif That's my kind of thinking. nod.gif

Hello, today (for me it's Monday morning already !) i

- got up, got DD1 and DS up ... and went back to sleep for an hour

- got DD2 to school

- nipped in to main post office (to make sure something i was supposed to send ... last Friday ... would get in the system as soon as possible) and since i was nearby middle school, dropped a forgotten item for a neighbor's daughter

+ decided to shop a bit for some supplies for home made Christmas cards (we went to a work shop for kids last Sat pm)

- started my second load of laundry (first one not yet up ... need to leave the computer soon)

- took out the toilet seat, bleached the hinges whith it sitting in the bath, it's drying now, i need to screw it back in place

- had a late late breakfast (stupidly overate for lunch yesterday, but the chicken was delicious & i had made a cake with 4 grated apples -that were starting to get wrinkled)

- need to schuffle quite a bit of paper around (that is why i'm presently procrastinating at the computer ....)

am going to have a nap soon-ish ....

Spent the weekend organizing the storage areas of the house and getting the things we had bought wrapped up for Christmas.. On the positive the only wrapping I have left is what Im making.. The negative, the house is a disaster other than the storage areas orngbiggrin.gif

What needs to get done:

pick up around the house and vacuum

diaper laundry

3 loads clothing laundry

Work on Christmas presents: 3 rag dolls with outfits, spaceship and 3 aliens, knot doll, bunting doll

inventory what we have in the fridge/freezer to use it up before we leave on vacation

figure out what needs to get done tomorrow

remember to have DD2 wear the eye patch

find DD2's glasses

Thats it orngbiggrin.gif

Haven't done anything today because I'm at work, but yesterday...

Made bed

Cleaned out and swept my closet floor (culled out shoes and misc)

Washed load of dishes in dishwasher

Did a load of laundry

Finished decorating the Christmas tree and put away most of the boxes of decorations

Cleaned off kitchen table

Cleaned off my nightstand beside my bed (had quickly become just a stacking spot)

Folded and put away laundry

Stitched the dog's name and a snowflake on a stocking for him

So yesterday was very productive

Good morning everyone !

had a lie in for a change (managed to delegate the "getting the kids ready for school" bit)

am slowly having breakfast and getting ready for my dance class

(need to look at these videos a few more times so it doesn't look i've had a lobotomy since last Tuesday LOL)

and packing some lunch because i'll be running to get a bus to get to a chiropractor appointment just afterwards ...

Got the cleaning done yesterday but Dh came home early so I didn't get much else done.. Need to work on Christmas projects today.
