we only lasted 50 minutes at the park, it was so cold ! .... but the kids had the playthings for themselves on the other hand ...

"had to" buy some ready made desserts ... in order to retrieve the pretty cups SO that we could put wheat and lentils on soaked coton wool to germinate=> by Christmas time it should be a reasonnable lenght (IF we don't forget to water it regularly !!!) & it's a symbol of health and wealth around here

(didn't think of it myself but last year saw some with a pretty red ribon tied around it = very nice looking on a dining table, for decoration ....)

am presently waiting for black beans to cook in the pressure cooker

have decided to eat less meat if i can (for general health purpose) and am wondering if i shouldn't have written target = 2 fish meals per week, x black beans or red lentils meals per week too

... i tend to forget if i don't write stuff

only 10 minutes until i need to go and walk DS to his sport session, need to transfer the little bit of dance routine we learned yesterday from my camera to the computer => without the visual cues, i have NO recollection 10 minutes after the class is finished and therefore cannot practice during the week ...

wonder if i'm not going to have a new year's resolution about timing myself procrastinating at the computer ...

so, what age range will the students be that you'll be teaching ?

today i

- dropped DD2 to school and slipped to a new place to try out their neck and head massage (that lady is doing them very well,

am hoping for some gift certificates in the future ....)

- went to the market to get a few things (including fresh cilantro that i have to spend 15 minutes plucking

(probably going to make a ground barley soup with fresh coriander in it at the last minute, yummy ... but no one else want to eat any, a pity !!!)

- put up the load of laundry that i had started first thing to dry (pity it's raining now, had to take both racks inside by mid afternoon)

- mixed a few greens to have a nice cruncy salad to go with left over pizza slices (= easy lunch !)

- washed up and shined the sink

- transfered the olives in one larger container, all of my small jars i had saved leak in fact ....

- bagged the cookies for the fund raiser (it IS tomorrow now ....) am going to try drop them this pm so as to ease things up for my errands tomorrow

need to get up and do more stuff before having to leave home

wish i had more time to procrastinate at the computer LOL ...

... the soup hasn't happened yet !

there's always something else to do ...

(have only managed to wash today Saturday the salad i bought on Wednesday ....)

i should think that elementary age children can be "nicer" in a way (more innocent, maybe easier to handle ?) but in any case, having young people to lead surely must be enriching ....

today i only managed one load of laundry, shining the sink and sanitising the toilet

... don't know where the morning went & then we rushed to a larger sports store to get something specific for DD1

(on the way back i found out that i could have gone there with my town bus pass instead of buying cards of 6 trips for 19 euros the card

& started wondering ... why am i the only one not to know these things ?????)

had to rush back and i whipped something out of the freezer since we had to get going within 35 minutes

attended our local expats' group Christmas party & Santa came with 3 pillow cases of different colors (for different goodies in the bags for different ages !)

i do feel bad deceiving DD2 in a way .... but had a great time kneeling behind her for moral support whilst she stood there, half worried, waiting for her turn,

all the little ones crowding in front of our sitting Santa at the same time eager to get their turn but also rather flushed when their turn eventually came ...

it was a pot luck & i scooped quite a few left over cookies (DD1 had to leave early because of horse riding class so she had some of the cookies after dinner)

tonight i used the middle school website to arrange appointments with various teachers for DS and one for DD1

am about to go and have a look in the election of Miss France on tv ... should go to bed really ...

am feeling very lazy too ....

have been procrastinating about some paperwork

 - but at least managed to write a check and post it (should have done so middle of last week)

also

sanitize the toilet, shined the sink, did all the washing up

took down and folded one load, washed one and put it up to dry

did two "empty" loads, one with bleach at 30°C and one with white vinegar at 90°C

-ordered two more shirts on the internet for DH (he liked the ones i got him last, there's not much choice on that website so he opted for getting the same twos over again)

am now late for learning the 20 seconds of the dance routine we added to the rest last Tuesday

& am hoping for an early night

and an easy dinner: breaded fish and green beans from the freezer + 3 minutes pasta !

Well, I don't have much cleaning to post about, but on the other hand...

DH and I made a righteous dent in the wrapping of Christmas presents last night.  I despise doing that job on my own and I am so thankful he helped me.  biggrinbounce.gif

was away for 12 hours today so didn't do a single thing relating to home-making ... nice break !

Ha Christmas wrapping sucks. My sis is doing all mine this year! I did get my stuff done and today is just more of the same. yesterday i worked on a few gift crafts.

bejeweled, I hope they treated you nicer than most of the students treated their subs when I was in school (I was, of course, a perfect angel whistling.gif)

Tomorrow DH works and then Monday morning he leaves for the week in the field. Gets home late Thursday night and we leave Friday on vacation. So, lots to do and no back-up. Heres to praying that the children behave. I don't have a to do list for tomorrow yet, Ill work on that when I wake up in the morning orngbiggrin.gif

ETA:
To do list:

clean up the house (again)

work on blessing gown

finish DD2's knot blanket

make a list of things that need to get done before the trip (my old list is way way to long so Im cutting a ton out :))

pack DH's gear for the field

make a packing list for the trip and start putting things aside for it

clean out the inside of the van so DH can have a co-worker get it detailed while hes out in the field
