10-15 Minute Cleaning Sessions (New Thread) - Page 7

Mom31 - there's a reset button on the bottom, sometimes they flip the circuit even though nothing is clogged. Press it HARD and then try again. Otherwise, you could check to see if the switch it's plugged into is GFI, and reset that. :)

I am the garbage disposal clogging QUEEN.

IS it under the sink?

I fixed it!  A little peice of bone was stuck in there. Whew.  I feel like the coolest single mom lol :) I can fix broken things!

OK, so I found the floor (kinda) and did a round of dishes.  I still have another round to do but at least it's an improvment. (I want a dishwasher!!)  Decided it would make more sense to flip the matress and clean the blankets in one shot so that's a Friday before work and class/come home on Sunday and make the bed thing.

Definitely slacked off today but I did some serious self-esteem work...so I'll just chalk that up to cleaning my mind. duck.gif

I AM SLACKING!!! I had a great start this morning, but I realized I don't have a blind hem foot and that's my next step. It's looking like I'll have to do it by hand.    :/

GAH.

Yep....just found my daughter's floor, I vacuum her room that way too!

Thanks, CultivatingMyRoots. I'm going to try to set the timer again. I've gotten a little picked up today, but not nearly enough to be away for a few days.

Here I go...

I swept my disastrous kitchen floor, did a spot clean of it on my hands and knees, gathered the next load of laundry from the bedroom, picked up toys in the living room. I need to change a diaper :-) and then I need to wash dishes and toss in a final load of laundry.

Then I need to focus on packing. I made a list of things to pack earlier.

When DH gets home, he needs to scoop the litter box, feed and water the cats (enough food and water for a couple of days) and take out the trash.

I have gotten pretty much nothing done since my husband came home! My girls have been going through some really bad separation anxiety. I was planning on it but I figured it would be with my husband leaving. They are totally fine with him going places/doing things, if I try to do anything without both of them (sometimes all 3 of them) its total meltdown. I love my kids, dearly, but I was hoping that having my husband home would mean I get at least a little bit of time without them on top of me. On top of that I'm getting a UTI (I get them quite often, I swear its genetic or something my mom and grandma did as well) that I might end up having to go to the doctor for. I'm usually pretty good at treating them without antibiotics but its been going on for a few days and I don't want another kidney infection. I'm giving it until tomorrow morning and if there isn't at least some improvement on how I feel I'm calling up my doctor. I'm so grateful for medical insurance! At least I don't have to worry about the bills!

I'm not planning on getting anything done tomorrow.. Id like to at least get the trash taken out and some sewing on the dresses done. I need to try to make it to get the right size knitting needles so I can work on my son's picture vest.

My loose list of things to work on:

take trash out- including luggage that is broken/not salvageable.

get proper size knitting needles for vest

c/o vest and knit a bit on it

maybe work on my dress/shrug for pictures. Mine will take the longest since I'm altering the pattern to raise the neckline and make it nursing accessible.

maybe work on the girl's shrugs

maybe do hair ties for pictures (need to pick up some pink fake flowers first since I want to use them for the hair ties)

maybe make DD1's hair tie for her birthday.. I got some cute horse hair ribbon to make a bow out of.

Redoing the plans for today.. I woke up in really severe pain (got to love UTIs) so Im heading to the urgent care clinic when it opens in an hour. I figure it would be quicker than driving to the nearest ER (30+ minutes away when the urgent care clinic is less than 5) and cheaper with the co-pay. So after that Ill probably end up sleeping the rest of the day, Im pretty sure I know what meds they will give me since I have had them before and they knock me for a loop.

I think that should be on our to-do lists too. To clean our minds. I like that! Though, ironing and hoovering floors works wonders for that. ;)

Anyhow, today I've had a truly lazy day. But I am going to collect some white laundry right now, put it in the machine and hang it before I head off to bed. One machine a day keeps the chaos away, no?

Company cancelled but I got it all done, and also a load of wash dried, folded and put away.

I need to purge clothes.  That'll be the next project.

So I spent over 2 1/2 hours at the doctors for a 30 second appointment for the doctor to tell me I have exactly what I already knew I had and give me the exact meds I knew he was going to give me. I'm very glad that I have insurance because if I had to pay out of pocket for that appointment I wouldn't have been to happy about it. So I get to take meds for the next 10 days that make me feel like crap and make me groggy. Thank the Lord my husband is home. Otherwise Id be in trouble.
