Hello, today i

- vegged out in front of the computer drinking tea and alternatively doing last night's dishes ....

- shined the sink

now need to tear myself away from computer to have my bath (must be rather cold by now, ....) and get dressed & get the eldest twos started on their homework for tomorrow  (such a busy day yesterday ...)

we were going to go for a treasure hunt today but it's only 4 °C and drizzling so not quite sure about that one..... what's for lunch today ????

spent another two 15 minutes sessions but overall it was "just" on daily tasks

also spent 2 hours shuffling papers so that i could post something on the 2013 in 2013 thread !

about to play board games with the children (who went out with DH doing a treasure hunt in town)

dinner will be mainly left-over and cold meats ...

I fell off the wagon...came on to post a couple of days ago and then my phone died. Got period (3rd since having baby, ugh, hate getting used to this again) today so I am going to keep it simple.

Between Friday and today I've been grocery shopping, picked up CSA, and been to Costco (which I will never do again on a Saturday alone with an 11-mo-old).

So far:

- Made coffee

- Gave baby breakfast

- Changed bedsheets (due to stupid period), assorted rinsing & spot cleaning

- Rested

Will:

- Make late lunch

- Put away remaining groceries

- Plan weeks menu

- Fold laundry

- Dishes if DH doesn't do them

Hello all, today i

- walked DD2 to school, dropped the refuse bag on the way

- sanitised the toilet

- started another load of laundry, still have to put up the first one on the rack

- sent a few e-mails

- installed a windows live mail onto the computer given by the region to middle schoolers (am not sure that is a good idea ..., but well, it's free ....) because he wanted to send his homework to one teacher but we couldn't work it out with just the webmail ... DH is anti-Firefox (because my sister now knows better than he does, and she helps me when she visits ....) so it was not easy to get him to help me do it in spite of this (he would prefer to do it by himself when i'm not there, i want/need to learn .... am just asking for a little guidance ....)

- about to go for a stroll on a few errands .... WAS supposed to declutter big way this morning LOL

at least, have taken what i need from the freezer for lunch and dinner !!!!

today was very grim and grey, now it's much colder but sunny at least !

Hello everyone.  esinedeggplant I have done the 'cure' before in 20120, they didn't do it last year, but I have just signed up again, thanks for the heads up.

Finally got the washing machine installed and running!  biggrinbounce.gif We had to put it into the room which is actually meant to be the laundry, surprise surprise.....after DH moved all his filing cabinets and junk out of there, so at last I don't have my washing machine in the bathroom, as we have had for the last twenty years.   I have a real laundry at last. wash.gif

Done so far today:

laundry

emptied dishwasher u/strs

decluttered lots of books!

checked mail

rested a bit....very tired today

to do:

continue with books

empty dishwasher d/strs

collect up rubbish

take out to garbage bin

dry towels

dry sheets

make excuses to not cook tonight

Hello ! ... today i did less than usual in cleaning but a bit more in cooking ....

- only washed the sink, wasbassin & inside of bath (not the toilet, but i wiped the walls of the toilet yesterday & tomorrow i'm going to unscrew the seat and clean all the hinges in the bath, with strong desinfecting solution ....)

- went to the market for a few items, a nice good quality chicken too & frooze half of the meat for later & have nearly finished making broth with the bones & legs

also used left over rice to make rice pudding ( i had forgotten  i had put vanilla pods in alcool at least 18 months ago, cannot remember what type of alcool i used but it' now very dark and smells and taste very nice ...)

- one load done and up on the rack, the one from yesterday taken down, folded and put away

- enlisted help to clear up surfaces and put away toys and paper

=> tomorrow is the first day in a long, long, long time that i'll have the flat to myself for about 5 yours

i just SO need quiet and silence (or music i choose, NOT interrupted by endless "Mom ....")

am sure i suffer from some sort of ADD or other ...

since i'm planning to tackle 3 boxes and some other items on shelves and piles here and there

& find at least 50 "things" to throw away or give ....

-the washing up is done, the sink is shined, am thinking of spending about 30 min in front of the TV knitting now ...

-read the NYTimes
-rinsed the dishes and cleaned the counters
-had DD make the beds
-washed 2 loads of laundry and had others hang
-crochetsmilie.gif and watch football with DH
-made lunch and stacked the dishes for later cleanup
-put out the trash
-had a friend over for Scrabble night

I hope you're having a nice day. It's gorgeous weather here. coolshine.gif

... too bad that i feel that there is never enough "time alone" !!!

i do feel a bad mom/wife for having this type of un-met need ....

we've had two days of rain and grey skies for the week end ... it's supposed to be a bit more blue sky from now on, ... but still more or less freezing temperatures ...
