Today I am a zombie... BUT I managed to put away all the boys' laundry and pick up a little in the living room and dining room.

I told myself that if I accomplish just ONE thing each day while I'm on my work rotation, then I'm doing pretty good lol.

Yesterday was the first time in AGES that there was not a single dirty dish left in the kitchen after my cleaning session!  Now I'm waiting to see how long it takes before all my hard work in there is completely undone by the kids and husband while I'm away at work angry.gif....

Fortune, good luck with that. What kind of work do you do?

I've been so busy with daycare that I haven't had time to stop in! Oy!

I've been researching the GAPS diet in hopes that it would help my health issues, but I'm not sure it's doable. I'm going to read some more today.

Today I:

Cleaned the kitchen:

Did dishes

Wiped down counters and cabinets with peppermint Dr Bronners.

Scrubbed (hands and knees) the floors...with two messy toddlers and no dog my floor takes a beating!

Wiped windows with black tea

Tidied Living room:

Put away toys

Got sofa back in order

Wiped blinds and windows

Made breakfast and boiled/peeled extra eggs for snacks

Made chamomile & lavender tea teapot2.GIF

Got daycare girls and gave big girls a snack

Played!

They're napping now. I've been reading my book. I still plan to:

Start dinner (and decide what it is!)

Bake cookies

Go get pots for the new houseplants

I love Bronner's too!  I have a question though-  When you guys wipe your counters with it (I assume it's diluted with water..?)  do you wipe them again with plain water to get the soap off/out?  Thinking about doing the same thing, but worry about soap film, and I'm too lazy to wipe everything down twice!)

I am a lab tech at the hospital... working graveyards.  5 days on (10 hour shifts), then 9 days off.    I both love it and hate it!

Speaking of, I am a train wreck today.. Sleep deprivation does NOT become me.  Hoping to go to bed soon, but so far I have:

Cleaned the litter box

Washed one load of dishes

Swept laundry room

Cleaned bathroom

One load of laundry

Cleaned kitchen

Ran like 5 million errands around town!

Hey Fortune, what a cool job. I'm sure you both love and hate the schedule.

When I use Bronner's, I wet the dishrag, then add the soap to the dishrag before wiping. That way there's no excess soap. If I add the soap to a sponge, I have to wipe the counters twice. I love.gif the peppermint.

Hello, today is the last day of a two weeks long school holidays, i'm spent keeping my 3 children entertained + the floor and dining room table are a mess !

am hoping to

- finish getting dressed (LOL = get away from the computer, have been lingering over my 3rd cup of tea ....)

- go to the market and the baker (it's sunny today and temperatures will be up to 16°C, it's not been that high for at least 4 and half months ....)

- get the two eldest kids to finish their homework whilst a chicken cooks in the oven (if there's still some to be had at the market, the more i stay at the computer... the less likely it is ...)

- get everybody to help me out cleaning up the flat (in case a friend drops by for late lunch, she made me smile when i invited her .... 1:00 pm is apparently too early for her for lunch on a Sunday .....she'll let us know by late morning if she can make it or not !)

- get the skates and scooters ready so as to meet up with another friend and her son at the skate park at 3:00 pm

(am selling her my old stroller - for 10 euros - which i soaped-brushed clean in the bath last summer and let dry on the balcony, she's a child minder and currently only has a double stroller whereas on some mornings she could do with a single stroller ....)

hoping to

- spend a little bit less time at the computer in the next few days !!!!!

I usually put a little bit of the soap in a cup and fill with water...then I dip my rag in it and wipe. I've never had a problem with soap residue :) I joy.gifDr Bronner's too!

I went grocery shopping yesterday and got groceries for the week. The good chickens were half price, so I bought two! I'm going to roast both today. I'll have one for dinner and shred the other one for the freezer. They're going to make so much broth!! thumb.gif

Today I:

Made chocolate pancakes for DD and I (delicious and SO healthy...except for the bacon! lol.gif)

Cleaned up the massive pile of dishes

Did three loads of laundry

Got pots yesterday and repotted the plants I needed to...they look great!

I'm working on a DIY baby gate for the playroom downstairs since I don't trust the other little girl on the stairs like I do DD

I still plan to:

Make lunch/clean up from lunch (maybe go to my mothers for lunch)

Work out (? if I can line up some babysitting with grandma...I really need it)

Clean bathroom which entails

     scrubbing tub w baking soda

wiping down counters and walls with Dr. Bronner's

scrubbing toilet with baking soda/vinegar soak

     sweeping and mopping floors

     wiping down glass and mirrors

     switching out hand towels

Roast two chickens (one for dinner)

Make kale chips

Do a quality scrubbing of the kitchen floor

Read 2 chapters of my book and sit with a cup of tea for a few minutes.

Feeling the lack of me time lately.

Isa...I'm totally with you on the internet! I need to get off of here too.

Hello,

today is the first day "alone" i'm getting in two weeks

should be off the door to go and swim by myself

am just procrastinating updated my too long "to do list" (including important paperwork i let drop for the last 2 weeks)

- have done yesterday's washing up this morning (not my best idea basically) + shined the sink

- started one load of laundry

- about to clean the toilet so that's done when i'll be back

- probably attending a group discussion about parenting after a difficult childhood this afternoon ....

feel there's never enough time to do all i would like to do (still knitted two other hats in the last 4 days, just when the temperatures are rising,

so clearly not a "physical need" ...just a psychological need to feel i'm doing something i want/for me/for pleasure.... pity it takes on my sleep time ....)

need to get off the computer now !

Today was the second long daycare day in a row! Oy! I'm kind of in survival mode as far as the house goes, but that's ok. Tomorrow is my day off, so I should get more done then.
